My dad recently purchased an RV from this business. He purchased the trailer and after the contract was signed, the staff left windows/door open to the RV, which resulted in severe water damage. My father was promised the camper was in top shape. He is now on the road and has identified the following problems, some stemming from the water damage and some apparently existed prior to the egregious negligence that caused the water damage: 1) Bedroom Slide-Out is broken 2) Mattress support deck is broken 3) Trim pieces at the junction of mattress support deck and the trailer body are broken 4) Device to raise, lower and position the roof TV antenna is broken 5) the kitchen faucet leaks 6) multiple windows/rubber gaskets/seals are broken 7) Main door deadbolt is inoperable. Mr. Leach - how exactly do you plan on addressing these issues? My father was able to use the existing, faulty trailer towards purchasing a new trailer, which he is happy with. Purchased a used RV and air conditioner was not cooling. After walk through we were told it had been on a long period of time and it is a very hot day it is probably frozen. Next day the ac is still not working. Called in and told we signed the checklist when purchasing and the air conditioner not covered. Took to dealer and had to replace the whole unit costing over $2000.00 and after attempts to contact Leach no resolution. Buyer beware and don't leave until all your issues are addressed because they won't be there to assist. read more

Well, last winter I was too mad to post, now after fixing my own issue that they supposedly fixed after they had our 5th wheel almost 6 months, I am now gonna leave the review i should have left almost a year ago. The service manager at the time, hope he ain't still there but if so, was as rude as they come. We bought our camper from it's first owner, whom purchased it from Leach, and told us how great they were. Previous owner told us how when he had a problem, he wrote everything down, took it into them, and they took care of things because they bought a transferable extended warranty. So extended warranty was transferred to us after paying the fee. This is the first time we've had a camper new enough to have warranty so we had no clue how it worked. Only thing we could go off of was what people told us, and that was to write everything down take it into them and they would take care of it. Well we did that, and we get a call saying most of the stuff on the list wasn't covered. Items that they tried to say wasn't covered was an awning that had failed, and Actuator motor for a bedroom slide out that had failed, LED lighting that could possibly cause an electrical issue throughout the camper on the outside that had weathered and the coating had came off, and many other items that we felt should have been covered but we paid to have some of them fixed. I told them that's fine let us know what is covered, and take care of what is! Had two or three different individuals in the shop call us, and one young man was very helpful. He told us he would figure everything up and then give us a bid on the stuff not covered. A day later we get a phone call from the shop manager, owner whatever you want to call him, and he told us we were trying to scam them that we were not honest that we were being crooked with them because I talked to their shop guy. Well the shop guy called us. Things that were covered still not completely repaired as it should have been. This we figured out later. We paid to have some of the other items repaired some were repaired properly some very shady. One of the things that they were supposed to fix that they claimed that they did was a major leak that we had on one of the slide outs. Underneath the bench seat at the dining room table would be wet every time it rained. They assured us it was fixed. The next rain after we got it back after almost 6 months it was wet underneath the bench seat. Well we used it for the summer parked it for the winter indoors, because of the hassle we had gotten from Leach Camper we was not going to bring it back to them. So going to why I'm upset now, I ended up investigating a little more under our seat and found a cover that I took off and found out it was the wiring for the awning, and wouldn't you know after a rain the wires were wet. So upon further investigation one of the things we had them fix was the cover on the motor of the awning, and found out they only put one screw in it because the other side was broke and they didn't bother to tell us the other side was broke had it broke after they put it on the screws still would have been in the cover but it was not. And then after removing the cover over the wiring up against the camper we find a 2-inch hole that was drilled in the side of the camper to run wiring into, with absolutely no silicone in the hole. The silicone was smeared all over the cover a flat cover that snaps in the channel to keep the wiring in place but none of that silicone made it to the hole. And to further add insult to injury the rain gutter runs right above that part of the motor hence all water that comes off of that rain gutter goes down that channel and some of it hits the wiring and follows it into our camper. I guess what upsets me the most is for a company that supposed to know campers you would think they would know there's a 2-inch hole there that wiring runs in that would possibly need some kind of rubber grommet or siliconed so it doesn't do that because I'm sure ours isn't the first camper that has gotten wet under the seat. And upon investigating the second awning found the same situation which is why the wallpaper in our hallway was coming off because of moisture behind that wall. In short buyer beware or individual needing repairs beware, they had done a repair while the first owner had it and when it failed we asked them to repair it again, one person in the shop said they would because it was already done once under warranty, and once again the shop manager told me I was trying to scam them because just because it was fixed once didn't mean that they were going to do it again under warranty because it was a non-covered item. read more

Constant delays, incredibly poor customer service, poor quality repairs, they've got it all. The lack of timeliness and lack of service or explanation to customers is why I would suggest never going to Leach. There are too many options in this industry and consumers don't have to tolerate poor service and such delays. Our camper has been at Leach for over a month waiting for a simple repair (under a warranty recall) and I've been continually told "they are working on it". Brian tried, but everyone else was totally unprofessional and downright rude to me as a customer and that's not acceptable. Avoid Leach at all costs! read more

Customer TIPS: 1) it helps give you priority and negotiating ability if you purchase the RV from Leach's. They take care of their customers first. 2) make sure your issues are ACTUAL emergencies that prevent you from using the RV. Any asthenic parts can take +2weeks to obtain. 3) DO NOT WAIT UNTIL LAST MINUTE to use your RV and do not book/reserve a chain of trips. They are always booked over a month or two out. BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT EARLY! 4) service seems to be more accurate if you request a service writer to physically mark the issue and take pictures of it at the time of drop off. 5) remove all items from your RV or they will charge you for the time to get it out of the way and put it back. 6) DO NOT leave food in the fridge! They do not have enough spaces for you to leave your RV plugged in. read more

I purchased my first brand new RV from Leach in Lincoln. There were numerous problems and I was patient in dealing with them to get them resolved. Brian Hancock was great to work with on these. However, this year my RV was in to be winterized and due to a mistake in their shop it was damaged. I understand that life isn't perfect. There were some heated words due to them refusing to give the coach back to me running. I asked three times nicely and waited for 4 hours. So naturally, I did not want to move forward with leaving my property there for the repairs to fix their mistake. Things really took a negative turn when they refused to give me their insurance information . I called the police to report damage to my property after they would not provide me with what is standard information after an accident. Fast forward a few months: they also put a fridge in my coach on that visit and that is now leaking. I talked to Pat Leach the owner and he wants me to drop off my coach and leave immediately without any contact with the service department. I am now being treated as a problem customer for standing up for myself. I will be taking my RV to another shop. I will not leave my property somewhere that I am not welcomed. I will be following up in other ways with my problem with Leach, however. Bullies like to bully. That's until they meet someone they can't push around. Spend your money somewhere else! Happy when they take your money and then unreasonable and unfair after they have it. read more

We ordered our RV through Leach and drove 7 hours to pick it up. Unfortunately the sales staff failed to order something that was on our build sheet. We were disappointed, but they were extremely apologetic, offering to make things right. They knew we were 7 hours away and we also had a camping trip planned, so I told our dealer that I would install the aforementioned missing option. Leach not only drop shipped every missing component of the option, but followed up to make sure I had received everything directly from the manufacturer. Rented a camper from Leach, put up a $500 deposit. When I called to get more details about the camper, I was told that I would need to prepay fees in addition to the deposit that would total an additional $2,600. I left a call for the camper salesperson, Bryan, to understand why things had changed. He did not return the call. I left another call for Bryan and told him that I was going to cancel the rental and asked him to call, no call. So, I didn't know what the status was of the rental. Then I received a call from Heather that said she heard a rumor that I was cancelling the rental, and that it was too late to return my deposit, but she really needed to know ASAP. I called and could not get her on the phone but left a message, the person I spoke with said she would call back. I should have had the camper available up to the time that I was supposed to show up to get it, that's what the $500 was for. I tried to give notice of cancellation but instead Leach obviously rented the camper to someone else before they had confirmed that I was cancelling, so they just said it was too late to return my deposit, stuck it in their pocket and collected money from the next guy. Not returning part of the deposit would have been understandable, but keeping all of it after I provided notification and they rented the camper to someone else, that's someone that I will not bother to do business with in the future. I cannot recommend Leach Camper Sales in Lincoln, NE simply because they used dishonest and unethical business tactics. read more

Be very careful if you take your camper to Leach's for repair. We took our bumper pull camper there for some minor repair work. My husband is very particular about taking care of the things we own, so he knows his camper very well. After the usual several weeks wait for it to be serviced, we brought it home. While setting it up, we noticed that the jacks were not the same as what was original. The jacks were NOT the item we had worked on. These were rusted, and dirty, and only adjusted from one side. Our original ones could be adjusted independently on all four corners. We contacted them, and they denied having done anything with the jacks. After weeks of contacting the original camper company, jack dealers, arguing with people at Leach's, and much more, we had a meeting with the owner. We brought the camper in and he slid underneath and proclaimed that these were the original jacks. We produced paperwork that proved that they were not. We commented that someone had replaced them with old ones from another camper. He vehemently denied that and stated that we were accusing him of stealing. We asked who could have taken them AND replaced them with others. If someone came onto their unsecured lot and removed them, they certainly would not have put others on. During this ordeal, the Service manager was very disrespectful and disregarded our complaint. Eventually, they agreed to replace the old ones with new ones that were to the specifications that we produced that were on our original camper. Needless to say, please, IF you take a camper to them for repair work, take pictures of EVERYTHING, inside, outside and underneath, before you leave it there. We will NEVER deal with them again. We took delivery of our new RV yesterday. From the moment we walked in the door we felt like we were royalty. Everyone at Leach greeted us & acted like we were the most important people on the planet. We had a very friendly & knowledgeable salesman walk us through all the details of running our new Roadtrek. We felt very pampered & not at all rushed. Our new RV was in meticulously clean shape. Definitely passed the white glove test. All the paperwork was in order & a breeze to get through. There was absolutely nothing more that could have possibly been done to ensure a better closing. We are very disappointed in Leach Camper Sales of Lincoln. First, they give us a quote to fix our camper. When they call back to tell us our camper is fixed, they tell us over the phone the final cost for repairs. We felt this was a reasonable amount when compared to the original quote that they gave us. However, two hours later when we go pick up the camper, the actual cost over $100 more than they told us and THEY DID NOT CARE. They did nothing to adjust the price. Then when we get our camper back and open the doors, they didn't even bother to clean the camper up. They left everything laying out on the floor and left it a mess. We are very disappointed in Leach Camper Sales and will never go back. They did shoddy work and overcharged us for it. read more

We had a great experience. During a long trip, a recent repair by another facility failed. Bruce, Service Manager?, said waiting for parts would take several days, as it was already past noon on Saturday. That was not an option. He indicated an immediate fix that would allow us to return to the original repair shop. No charge for inspection. We purchased another item for a repair which worked out better than original equipment. All of the personnel were helpful, professional, and had positive attitudes. read more

We had our unit in for repairs under warranty. That was done with no problem. I had talked to the gal before we dropped off the unit. Told her we also wanted it winterized. I did write a note with the keys to explain all our troubles. A gal called to tell me that it was done and I asked if they had winterized it and how much it would cost to trouble shoot the backup camera that we had purchased from them many months before. Told her that the monitor was inside the unit in a white bag on the hook. She said she would check and call me back. No call back. Then several days later I received a call from a guy saying that our unit was done. I asked him if they had winterized it and he said no. I also repeated that I would like to know how much it was to check out the camera and that the rest of the camera unit was inside the camper in a white bag hanging on a hook. He said it would cost 62.50 to check it out and that they would winterize it. I received a call that it was ready but that we would have to purchase a monitor for the camera. I explained that I had already told two different people that the monitor was in the camper in a white bag hanging on a hook. I told them to forget the camera and my husband picked up the unit. I felt like I was communicating with dumb and dumber...how much clearer could I have been? They charged me the $62.50 for the camera that they bumbled. Anything not under warranty will go elsewhere next time. read more

We bought a hurricane motorhome and found the bracket that holds the water tank on was laying there not attached to anything. Also the steering wheel is caulked at a five degree angle. This unit was serviced before being sold and none of this was caught. Now I have to take time off work waste gas to have the tank fixed and they won't fix the steering wheel. Said I did it. I will be telling all who will listen about this. read more

Horrible experience. We brought our RV there to get fixed because they are the only ones in a 200 mile radius that takes Protective Xtra warranty coverage. We not only waited 2 months to get in, once it got there they had for 6 weeks because they "forgot to order the part". The slide out stopped working, our DVD player wouldn't play and the refrigerator wouldn't get cold and our landing leg broke. After only the radio being covered under warranty we walked out with a bill close to $1000. Then we were told that everything but the DVD was working just fine. It took $1000 for it to be fine. Fast forward another 6 weeks and we take our RV to AC Nelson (near our home 1 hour away) and I'll be darned if that slide out isn't working. I call and the service manager says bring it in we will take care of you. That was not only a joke it was a waste of time for us to drive 2 hours round trip, to be told what's wrong with the slide out now wasn't wrong when we brought in initially and he asked why we hadn't tried it since leaving 6 weeks ago. Well that was insulting because they had it from August to October and we missed all of the end of camping season. Then we get it back and my wounded warrior husband was hospitalized in the ICU for over a week due to a minor stroke (his 3rd) so no I didn't go camping to make sure the work I paid for to be complete was done right. Shotty service to say the least and the Customer service is non-existent. The crappy part is that we have no where else to go with our warranty. read more

We purchased a quarter of a million dollar motor coach from Leach in 2015. Took the unit to Texas for the winter and experienced numerous problems. Had to contact mobile repair tech to take care of warranty issues and then wait to get our money back. This is where our trouble started, dealing with Leach in Lincoln. We were told we would pay the tech and be reimbursed for said payment. Waited 4-1/2 months for check from Forest River, and would have never gotten a check from Leach, we had wait 3 months and then beg and prove our repair to get reimbursed. We had a list of warranty work over the winter months some minor some major. So we booked an appointment with Leach for April 21, dropped it off and went over the list with several employees. Waited a month called to see how it was coming along, they stated waiting for parts. Waited another month called still waiting for parts, had not even touched it yet. Waited another month then called the salesman we purchased it from told him i was getting concerned. We were then called july 17th to pick it up that it was done. Drove 210 miles to pick it up, got there no one really cared, had to explain who i was that i was there to pick up Charleston, They then handed me the keys i went to check out our motor coach and was shocked, filthy, inside and out batteries dead, empty on fuel and i left it with 1/2 tank. Most of the work was not done, so we went and had lunch so they could finish the work. We return to glue all over the entrance door, later discovered water on floor. Also the radio was on very load, we thought our unit was used for hideout for employees or whatever. We then get home and found over $1000.00 worth of fishing equipment missing from lower storage,which was locked and there were no repairs made in storage area. We filled out police reports and insurance would not pay because there was no forced entry. Trust me these people are thieves, in more ways than one, and would not recommend them to anyone ever. read more
