Decided to try this place out as I walked past this restaurant…read more There are two seating choices: indoors or outdoors. At the time I was there, there was only one other person who sat indoors. The interior design of this restaurant is modern yet elegant - had some middle eastern touches on its design. Upon looking at the sample menu in the front, my eyesight glued upon chicken pilavs (Turkish style risotto) as it has cream sauce and was pan tossed with sliced mushrooms, cubed chickens and shallots. It was definitely tasty like what the menu described. It has lemony taste, the pilavs was soft yet chewy and the cream was in right proportion to linger the tastebuds. It was still hot when it was served and realized that just after I put a spoonful of it in the mouth. Tried the lemon lime bitters. It was actually soda with syrup. Was fizzy when it was served and you would need to stir the bottom to mix the beverage. Was pretty good as it has strong fruity taste that I yearn for. Overall, price wise it was pretty high for me but probably on the normal range for Australian market. The lady who served me was also cheerful and asked me how was the food. Seemed like many people had commented "loved it" that she wasn't responding to my comment. Will be back again if I'm craving for more risottos.

Flame grilled chicken places have become more popular lately and this is definitely one of the…read morebest. I've been going to El Jannah at Granville for years and have also been to Inflames at Castle Hill and I have to say that Sultans Grill is better than them both! The food is essentially the same. The same great tasting flame grilled chook, the same pickles, awesome garlic sauce, etc. But thats where the similarities end. Unlike El Jannah you can actually get a parking spot here. Its directly across the road from the Bull n Bush hotel and there is heaps of parking both on the street out the front and behind the restaurant. Unlike El Jannah you don't have to queue forever and you can also actually get a seat as well. I don't know how long that will all last but for now its awesome. They do a chicken wrap with chips and a can of drink for a little over ten bucks and you can get it eat in or take away. There's a large indoor dining area with a big screen tv on the wall and also quite a few tables and chairs out on the street as well. They have a huge range of other things on the menu but I can't really comment about them as I'm just a massive fan of their chicken wraps and chips with heaps of extra garlic sauce. If you like El Jannah or Inflames then try Sultans Grill. You can probably park, order, eat and be out of there in the same time it'd take you to find parking at one of the other charcoal chicken shops!

Getting back to the restaurant, Moorish Blue is quaint and comfortable but also spacious. Decor is reminiscent of a breezy summer home, and has plenty of indoor/outdoor/private seating across its three levels. The menu spoils you for choice in an innovative North African cuisine, with Spanish and European influences. You'll have a hard time choosing, but go with the BLT (braised lamb tagine) and you're set. Coming piping hot, the generous serving of lamb melts in your mouth, while the bed of fragrant saffron rice provides burst of sweet savouriness with a variety of nuts and berries. Generous portions, guaranteed to fill you up. The barramundi is cooked to perfection with crispy skin (of course). The accompanying beans are full of flavour, while the yoghurt balances and cools the palate. So many textures and flavours on one plate! Succulent barramundi fillet, crispy skin, hearty beans, refreshing yoghurt, crunchy nuts, crispy kale chips. Amazing food by excellent staff in a great location. A must try!

The owner is Tunisian and very friendly. The service was perfect throughout. The food is very fresh and tasy - a few dishes are a bit spicy but I love it ! I went there with 6 friends for a birthday dinner and we order many things o share. The highlight were: - cod croquettes - bricka - sweet potatoe fries - lamb tajin - Beetroot salad with goat cheese - I did not like the eggplant dish - delicious desert platter (rose panna cotta, and other usual sweets) This place really feels outside of time ! I highly recommend it for a special evening with friends - and it is really good value to ! I had been there for Brunch as well, there shashuka is delicious as well as lamb salad, but I think the atmosphere is even nicer in the evening ... A great place to try :-)
