Food was fresh, flavourful, and served in very generous portions. The service was fast, attentive, and very clever at convincing us to get desserts (without being pushy). We all felt satisfied and very happy with our meals. Highly recommend any of the pasta dishes, we had four different pastas and all were good. The calzone was gigantic and very generously stuffed with toppings and cheese.

Highlights from our group of 5: Seating: Don't let the queue intimidate you--there was a long line, but it moved fast and we were seated pretty quickly. The Food: We ordered the fritto misto, truffle pizza, seafood pasta, Caesar salad, and sea bass. Most of the food was pretty flavorful and delicious! The Drinks: Excellent Hugo Spritzes and a great bottle of Sancerre. Service: The server was just okay, but overall the experience was solid. A must-visit spot in Nice for great Italian food at a reasonable price point!

From the moment we sat down, it was clear nobody was paying attention to our table. It took a long time before anyone even came over to acknowledge us. When we finally ordered, the food took forever to arrive. Once it was dropped off, that was the last we saw of anyone. Nobody came back to ask how the meal was, nobody offered anything, nobody checked on us at all. At the end of the meal we wanted to order dessert. We sat there for about 20 minutes trying to get someone's attention, and not a single person came to our table. There was no way to order and no way to even ask a question. When we finally got someone, we were told the kitchen had already closed. Nobody warned us it was closing, nobody gave us a last chance to order, nobody said a word. We were simply ignored until it was too late. This is not a case of one slow moment on a busy night. It was a complete lack of attention from start to finish. An evening we had been looking forward to was ruined entirely by how we were treated. Whatever the food is like, it does not matter when the staff cannot be bothered to come to your table. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually cares about its guests. Avoid La Favola.

The food arrives incredibly fast and the service was very attentive (for Europe standards). The pizza was very traditional Italian pizza. Located along the main street with shopping and restaurants galore, this Italian, street facing patio restaurant stands out. Two things to note before dining; 1. Everything on the menu is very large portions and 2. Each guest seated must order food. This is a busy area where weights can build up and seats are reserved for those people who will eat and drink. That being said, the food is absolutely outstanding and the two times I've been here they have been very accommodating with large groups without reservations. This is where I fell in love with French rosé and the price point on both food and drinks is a good value. Like I said, you will be taking food with you when you leave if you don't come hungry! I can't wait to return to Nice and when I do, this will definitely be on my list of stops

We sat outside on the covered and insulated patio. They also had heat lamps, so it felt ok in February outside. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. My husband ordered the seafood spaghetti which had a light red sauce and seafood including mussels. He really enjoyed it. I had the lightly fried seafood plate. Check my picture for what's on it. The shrimp was slightly over done but still good. The fish and calamari were breaded and seasoned well. I've never had fried sardines (whole body included; I've only had canned sardines in the past) so I wasn't prepared to eat these. I tried it but it wasn't my preference. The salad was nice and fresh. We also enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine. La Voglia was quick and affordable but good.
