The food here was good, which is why this restaurant is getting 2 stars instead of 1. We were approached by the waiter and I attempted to order breakfast in French. My French isn't great, which is obviously **completely unacceptable** at this place, because the waiter immediately became exasperated and visibly agitated. He responded in rapid-fire French, and my husband and I did our best to answer (again, in French) but we were both rattled by his rude behavior. He walked away shaking his head, rolling his eyes, and muttering under his breath. Honestly, if it wasn't so difficult to find more than a continental breakfast at that time of the morning in this area, we might have just gotten up and left at that point. But, we were hungry and I was pretty sure I had communicated effectively enough that I had a ham omelette on the way.
Food came, pastries and baguette were good, orange juice was sweet, apricot jam was really good, cafe creme was decent, ham omelette was better than no ham omelette at all. So, if you're French or fluent in French you'll probably get great service. If you're not, you'll be treated like you should just go home. read more
