Imagine living in a country where things like Formula1 and cycling and tennis are super popular. Jimi couldn't do it. But Jimi could eat another meal at BLC. If you're lucky one of the staff members will talk to you in English and spare you from your ridiculous attempts at French words. No they do not serve lamb. 5 stars

They were happy to provide a menu in English for us less than French literate individuals. The staff were freindly and helpful. There was a little wait for a few items, like our drink order. But, overall excellent. Starters: Good, not great. We had the foie gras with rhubarb and Charcuterie. The foie gras had a mixed reaction. Some at the table enjoyed, others felt it lacked the flavors promised in the description. The Charcuterie was fairly standard, two types of sausage, serano ham, and tuna. Mains: we ordered the fish, lamb shank, beef, and fish & chips. The main dishes were the highlights of the meal. Each of them was excellent. My lamb was fall off the bone tender with a rich sauce. The vegitables were mostly squash (likely because they are in season), I would preferred something else. Dessets: Good, not great. We had the waffle with fruit, chocolate mousse, rice pudding, and the cheese board. The mousse and the rice pudding were very well received. However, the waffle and the cheese board were disappointing. The waffle was hard, overcooked or sitting out for too long. The cheese board had three similar cheeses, all of which were very mild (the inclusion of honey was a nice touch). Price: 2 starters, five mains, five desserts, several non-alcoholic drinks, and one cider ran 180 Euros, or 35E each.

Things happen but I can't accept the reaction and lack of consideration for clients. Do bother. There are many other place to eat in Aromanches. My family shared a salmon platter, a delicious salad, and two buckets of fresh (and young!) mussels in white wine and cream sauce. Bread was complementary and went well with the mussels and fish. The salmon weas smooth and moist, and perfectly, minimally seasoned so I could really appreciate the seafood. The mussels were sweet with a crunch, which I could tell was very fresh. The chicken salad is very different from ones I have at home, with tomatoes, mushrooms, green beans, bell peppers, lettuce, and other greens. It's definitely a large meal for 4 people but we couldn't stop eating until every platter was cleaned out.

There were plenty of seats for lunch but dinner got crowded quick so go right at opening or make reservations. Beautiful indoor decor, friendly & attentive service, they constantly refilled our waters & they had many gluten free options including crepes. They were so thoughtful to bring bread for my family & gluten free mini crepes for me. My favorite was the sautéed scallops in garlic butter which came with rice & ratatouille. It was very fresh, locally caught & delicious! We also liked the sautéed shrimp with rice and the flank steak with pepper sauce. If you like your steak medium rare, tell them rare with pink. France only does rare, medium or well done. The salmon filet came with mashed potatoes, the fish was a little dry but had good flavor. We were too full to order dessert or else we would have gotten Nutella crepes. Overall a great meal, I highly recommend this restaurant, only 10 min away from Mont Saint Michel.
