Going go to start by saying the food was great. However, it was the service that lacked - meaning…read morenot enough staff to clients. We ordered food and the wait time was ridiculous. Our waitress asked if we wanted everything served at once or in 2 servings. Given we had ordered 6-7 tapas platters and the small table space, we figured 2 servings was a better idea. The first serving compromised of garlic butter sautéed mushrooms (7/10), maple syrup doused grilled eggplant with goat cheese (8/10) and a Spanish charcuterie & cheese plate with olives (6/10). The food was in all great, we finished the first serving pretty fast. We figured the second serving would come more quickly but it never did! By then we were already full and tired. It could've been that the kitchen had already prepared the food and the waitress had too many customers to serve. I called her over and told her I would only pay for the dishes we ate because the food was taking too long to come out. She got defensive and said the food was on its way and ready. I insisted no. After which, I asked if we could pay right away as we had to head out . Another 15-20 min wait as she served others . My impression would be if I had 2 customers that were upset and ready to leave, I would tell the other table " I'll be right back shortly , I just have to close this table off". She had no sense of time! It's too bad that the service can't match their quality of food and atmosphere. Hire more staff because clearly there is a demand for food but a lack of service will bring the hype down.

If you happen to be in Quebec Province and travelling from Montreal to Quebec City or vice versa, there are several towns you might stop in to get a cross sectional sample of history, from Chambly, a synthetic, plant and just add water instant suburb in the middle of a corn field, to Cowansville and Waterloo, Bromont and Shefford, places that are seeing tradition eclipsed by suburban sprawl, are still mainly agricultural, and are seeing some hard times, but as they will tell you, hard times are nothing new for these towns that started as pioneer settlements four centuries ago. In any case, to get a sense of all this, I would recommend stopping in at the local boulangerie in any of these towns, getting an elaborate pastry such as tartelette aux fruits, milles feuilles, napoleon, paris-brest, chocolatine or just an eclair with a great cup of coffee, capuccino, espresso, tea, or your choice of caffeinated beverage, and look out the window as people walk by and take you through a story both fascinating and sad at the same time. If you can, buy a loaf of bread to take with you, and if you are feeling forgetful you might neglect to realize this until you are safely back at home.

Since we were not in a hurry, we didn't mind the wait. Sitting on the terrace was quite nice on a beautiful summer evening. We got served within a very reasonable delay. The waitress was super efficient, very polite and helpful. Completely bilingual as well. We tried the classic hamburger and the hamburger with mushrooms. The hamburgers were ok. The fries were also ok. Nothing special. But that's exactly what we wanted to eat. The beer was amazing though. On our way out, the manager thanked us for being patient and apologized for the wait. He was really thoughtful and caring. Just for that, I would certainly return to say hello to him.

I chose the Sauté Thaï au Crevettes and was not disappointed. There were tons of veggies, shrimp and these stick things in the bowl which was a cool stainless steel bowl with handles on it and it came with chopsticks! You can ask for it to not be too spicy if that is what you prefer. For dessert I ordered sugar pie, dessert is obviously not their strong point because my pie tasted like it had been in the freezer for too long and was obviously not homemade :(. But the service was good and the whole atmosphere of the place is just nice and cozy so overall it was a good choice to go back.
