I had a time-sensitive case, and although he was unable to take it due to his heavy workload, he went above and beyond by referring me to several qualified attorneys. After meeting with one of his referrals, I still wanted Mr. O'Young's perspective, so I scheduled a free initial consultation with him. During our meeting, he carefully listened to my situation, outlined three possible approaches to my case, and offered valuable advice for both my immediate concerns and my long-term plans. His guidance gave me much-needed clarity during a very difficult time in my life. While I was disappointed that he couldn't represent me, I completely understood his situation and truly appreciated his honesty and professionalism. I am very grateful for his time, expertise, and kindness, and I highly recommend Michael C. O'Young to anyone looking for an experienced and trustworthy divorce attorney. Unfortunately, I have to come back and update my review after years of using Oliver's services and…read moresending at least two referrals his way. Oliver gave me dates and times he's available, and after I selected and confirmed a time, I was ignored for two days. When he finally responded, he told me that the appointment time was given away by his assistant. Despite it being "first come, first serve", the time I claimed first was given to someone who contacted them after me. Now he has no more evening appointments, because they were booked up during the two days he ignored me. The sooner I file my taxes, the sooner I can get my refund to put toward my kitchen remodel. I don't feel it's fair at all to tell me that I need to pick a new date and time, when I requested the booking first. I guess the person who got the appointment time was more important than me. Obviously, this was disheartening after all the business I brought this place between me and my referrals. ***In response to your comment Oliver, I understand that family emergencies happen. However, why am I the one that needs to pick an alternative date or time when I selected the date first? It should be the person that called after me that should reschedule... this is assuming that it's "first come, first serve "as you stated in your email. Second, I also have a client facing career. I recently had a medical emergency come up... that is not foreign to me. However, I utilize an out of office response as a means to notify my clients when there is an absence or extenuating circumstance. Had you set up an out of office encouraging clients to call your assistant to book an appointment, I would have most certainly done so. Instead you left me in the dark and booked someone else during my designated time. It's a lack of customer service that cost you my business. You booked someone else during my time, and instead of apologizing, you made excuses. Even in your response to this review, you state, "I'm sorry you felt..." instead of apologizing for your mistake. My feelings have nothing to do with it.

I never even had an opportunity to use Mary's bookkeeping, so I can't speak to her services. My…read moreexperience was in setting up my practice to work with Mary. My first clue was when she quoted me an hourly rate of $75/hour, but then wanted to charge me $350/month without ever having SEEN my books or my needs. She said she's been doing this a "long time" and could "tell" it would be 5-7 hours per month of work. That being said, what if it was 5? Or less than 5? Would I get a refund? No response. But I'm in need, so I still said ok. After dozens of emails back and forth, I provided her with passwords for my business accounts, credit cards, and Quick books portable file. I set her up with everything she needed to start my work. The second clue she gave me was asking me (again) which accounts were which (letting me know she couldn't handle complex law firm accounts). She also asked me repeatedly for things I had previously sent her in the same email string. When I responded to her that everything had been provided she emailed me back immediately and stated, "We have decided we are too busy to handle your books." Period. Mind you, by this time, I have told my current bookkeeper that I'm going with someone new. Oy-Vey! After receiving ALL my client's private information in my QB file, my usernames, passwords, statements, etc. and me firing my other bookkeeper, I'll have to change everything now and there's nothing I can do to retrieve my QB portable file. To say I was disappointed is a complete understatement. She's definitely not as organized as she claims to be. I definitely don't see how she has this many 5 star ratings. ??? UPDATE: just read her reply comment on my post. Takes no responsibility for her role in what happened. Just puts it back on me. Whatever Mary. You can't even be honest that you said you were "too busy". *eye roll*. Clearly I dodged a bullet reading your other 1 star reviews.
