Located in the "old town" of the city, this restaurant is located on a side street, not in the main…read moresquare, but still in a very nice area. We ate here in the evening in summer and the weather was amazing so we sat outside. The restaurant was established in the 1800s and the ambience inside spoke true to that. We loved eating on the sidewalk, but had we been inside, it would've been equally great.
We chose this place because we wanted to make sure we had fondue on our first evening in Switzerland. To that respect, we found it to be better than average, but nothing that blew your socks off. We also got the Neuchâtel Sausage and Osso Buco, both of which were pretty darn good. We would definitely get them again.
The service was great. Our waiter was polite and the food arrived in a timely manner expected for a nice restaurant. Other than the prices being high, which is to be expected in Switzerland, we thought it was an overall great experience. I'd be interested in checking out other restaurants in the city, but if the opportunity came up, I would definitely return.
