The hotel itself is in a really great area, right on the lake with magnificent views depending on where your room is located. I was in Room 201 which was a corner room with perfect views of the marina and lake. While I was pleased to be able to obtain a room with air conditioning during one of the hottest weeks of the year, I was disappointed that the a/c would not go below 24 degrees celcius. I ended up emailing the hotel staff and they did correct it the next day. After the 2nd night, however, the a/c would start to make loud squeaking noises during the night which caused me to have to turn it off. The room itself was spacious with a comfortable queen size bed. I was definitely not pleased with the shower as it was very narrow and the shower curtain would end up sticking itself to you. I'm all for exercise and I didn't mind having to go up and down 2 flights of stairs each day for 6 days as the lift was broken, but I didn't enjoy having to carry my 60lb luggage down the stairs. Perhaps just really bad timing on the lift breaking but it was down for several days and not sure how many more even after I checked out. The hotel was just ok. Wasn't really a fan and I'm not sure that I would stay here again even though I will have to visit the area again for work in the very near future.

We ate here in the evening in summer and the weather was amazing so we sat outside. The restaurant was established in the 1800s and the ambience inside spoke true to that. We loved eating on the sidewalk, but had we been inside, it would've been equally great. We chose this place because we wanted to make sure we had fondue on our first evening in Switzerland. To that respect, we found it to be better than average, but nothing that blew your socks off. We also got the Neuchâtel Sausage and Osso Buco, both of which were pretty darn good. We would definitely get them again. The service was great. Our waiter was polite and the food arrived in a timely manner expected for a nice restaurant. Other than the prices being high, which is to be expected in Switzerland, we thought it was an overall great experience.
