I just had a massage with Jessie and am a little "massage drunk" still, so forgive me if this doesn't make a lot of sense.
It's scary going to new massage places and not being sure if it's legit or adult entertainment. For the record, this one is legit. There are very clear signs posted on the wall that sexual harassment will not be tolerated. Right on.
Its a little tricky to find, but it's in the commercial section on the main floor of the big apartment building at Calgary trail and 23rd Ave. Small, mostly quiet space, there was a lot of parking available when I went.
The rooms were very simple, as was the paperwork. They ask which areas of the body they have permission to massage right on the forms. Buttocks was listed as an option, and I happily checked the box.
I undressed, hopped on the table, and Jessie came in and got to work. She used a hot stone to help loosen up some of the tighter sections of my back. Her hands were surprisingly strong! I loved it. She was very quiet except to check in on the pressure. She absolutely melted away knots that had previously survived hours of massage with various hands (including much more expensive therapists). She gave my bum a very nice massage as well (just the muscles along the outside, no fingers wandered too close).
I felt like it ended a bit abruptly, but that's probably because she spent a lot of time on my extremely knotted shoulders and neck, so we ran out of time quickly.
I'm very happy with the massage I got. The decor is very simple and nothing fancy or frilly, but the massage was great. I could hear a bit of talking and some doors opening and closing during my treatment, but nothing unreasonable. A 90 minute massage was $120, very reasonably priced. They direct bill a few insurance companies as well.
I will definitely be returning. read more
