All this to say that this is the kind of place where you can immediately become just one of the locals. Now as for food, you must get the couscous, specifically one that includes their delicious Moroccan meatballs (boulettes). They only do couscous three times a week and this is lunch only. Things get pretty full once the little farmers market closes, so go before 1 pm if you can.

I am not an expert on Maghreb food but It seems like the food here is pretty authentic.
