They are excellent, available in several different preparations, with hand cut, golden brown and tender fries that haunt you later. Even the salads: the fried goat cheese salad is particularly disappointing, featuring croquettes filled with something roughly equivalent to white Velveeta. How to rate a restaurant like that? So we drove across the bridge to Beaucaire and decided to eat here after doing an eenie meenie miney moe between the three restaurants that were open in town with pretty much similar menus. Ended up ordering the steak au poivre with house fries and a seafood salad with smoked salmon and surimi. We'd asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare but they ended up serving us a rumsteak that was close to well done. The smoked salmon was dry and repulsive by the end of the meal. Easily the winner for the most forgettable meal in France (or should we say hard to forget for the wrong reasons).
