Another rip-off!
We live near Cavaillon and just stopped for drinks after a meeting. The waiter heard us speaking English and, even though I speak fluent French, tried to address us in his terrible English.
I suspected that we would get the "tourist rate" and indeed he charged €14 for an Orangina, a pineapple juice and a coffee.
I told him (in French) that it seemed expensive and he said "c'est le prix monsieur". He went to serve another table so I asked the woman behind the bar the price of an Orangina; she said that I would have to ask him.
At this point it was clear that we were being ripped off. I paid, left and decided to leave a review or two. I should have asked to see a menu but didn't think of that at the time.
It's a clip joint; if they sense that you're not French... beware. Oh, and the coffee tasted like stale hot water. Avoid! read more
