An excellent little Ukrainian restaurant tucked away near Lausanne train station and a decent cocktail bar.
I was taken there by my wife (who is herself Ukrainian) after her friend (also Ukrainian) raved about this place for about a year and made her try it a couple of weeks ago.
Overall, food-wise, this place is extremely authentic. You find the staples, such as borsch (duh), but also some more local variants, such as kholodets (pretty authentic, but for the common of the mortals, it's a drip down the memory lane into the wild 50s cuisine land) or filled vareniki (little pies with stuff in them). They are all pretty darn tasty and pretty authentic.
As for desert - their vareniki with sour cherries are really without comparison.
They also have a very well decked-out bar and a bartender that understands a thing or two about mixing drinks. Overall a great place to taste the classics and I am looking forwards to doing a more in-depth review for cocktails read more
