As we were about to leave the waitress told us there was room downstairs. The luncheonette shares a space with a spa (!). We went down the stairs to find 3 tables and chairs arranged in one corner of the spa. There was a spa-like atmosphere with dimmed light. It felt very weird. The menu is mostly healthy meals, wraps, salads, soups, smoothies and fresh juices. We ordered a wraps and salads. The prices were fair but we were disappointed by the taste. It all tasted very dull. The salad leaves were enormous and not cut, which wasn't easy to eat. At all. On someone's napkin there was a tiny drop of blood and I found a hair in my salad. The place is packed full of food options, from home made "cheese" and crackers to burgers. Its really an epicerie type place. I tasted the following items and all were rather good, considering I am not keeping a vegan diet. The home made cashew cheese was interesting, very cheese-like flavoring. I also tried a Mexican-like hummous, a beetroot hummous, a parsley salad, that looked like tabbouli with sunflower seeds and risotto with mushrooms. The risotto was not rice at all...which I thought it would be rice...the mushrooms were so full of flavor that this was my favorite dish.
