Favorite patisserie in Nice, and yes, I tried a few.
The bread is highly affordable with great classic flavor and crunch... but even if you try nothing else, do yourself a favor and buy a lemon meringue tart. They are addictive and I'm pretty sure I had one every single day of my stay. The meringue is creamy, not the weird thin watery stuff with an overly hard crust that you find in the US. And the filling is a smooth and wonderfully zesty custard, not too sweet, not too sour. Simply parfait.
Only thing I dislike is their weird payment setup. You're supposed to drop your coins and/or bills in a machine rather than just handing them to the cashier. Never did get used to that, and they looked at me like I was mentally deficient every damn time. read more
