The main issue was the OWNER of the bar was in there drunk as could be. Kept making smart remarks to me and then turning his head away like a scared little kid and laughing like he was funny. He kept telling me over and over he owns the bar to which I told him I don't care who knows the bar, but in a meaner way. He tried to get me to take a shot but I refused and he kept making dumb remarks and hiding by turning away. He then apologized when he could tell I was tired of his act. I paid and left and wouldn't go back in that bar unless it was to beat up the drunken bar owner and his little buddies..

The drink menu is great, albeit a little pricey, and the patio is a fantastic spot to sit back, have a drink, and watch the water traffic go by. That's about where the good things end. My wife ordered the ribeye, which at $48 was pretty underwhelming. At that price, you'd expect at least a side salad to be included. They also don't offer mushrooms with their steaks, which seems like a strange omission. The steak was at least edible. I can't say the same for the two perch dinners we ordered. I'm honestly not sure there were actual fish fillets hiding underneath all the breading. You could literally pull chunks of breading off that had no fish attached to them. Once you finally made your way through the breading and found the fish, the fillets were extremely thin and cooked to the point of being dry. If you're a restaurant located right on the water and perch is a regular menu item, you'd think you'd have that one figured out. We also ordered the homemade potato chips as an appetizer. They came with a tiny container of dip and were, at best, pretty average. So, to sum it up: great location, nice atmosphere, good drink menu (although a bit pricey), and food that is a big "meh." For the $155 we spent, including tip, I expected considerably more. The waterfront view is nice, but unfortunately, you're paying for the view more than the food.

Check the photos, she's rocking a blue hoody. The bar itself is exactly what a local pub would be if you pictured it. The bar stretches the length of the building with TV's, a stained pool table, gambling machines, and a pretty well stocked mix of canned, glass, and tap options. The unfortunate push of bad service is the nail that pins Kelly's as a "move on to the next" label this review is intended to share. If you have a zero person capacity, you might want to show some personality to the one party that shows and is happy to tip big for a good time. Very sad. The good things? Plenty of dart boards, spacious floor room for some dancing, lighting is comfy, and the seats are comfortable.

The food, however, very subpar. First was the Flat Iron Steak Sandwich. Basically, a French Dip. Looked promising but the steak was cut thick and very tough. Flavor was fine but chewy. Next was the Pig & Fig sandwich. Reports were good and positive. Last was the special "Fresh Lake Michigan Perch". This was not good. It was over cooked and tasted like it was fried in last week's oil. One bite was enough. Burnt taste and very dry. Our server was very apologetic, offered something else and took it off our bill.
