We walked in and many locals were choosing from the many tapas available: skewers of meat and seafood, and small plates of cheeses. Lots of people ordered wines and beers too. My friends and I ordered a variety of the tapas (all of them under €2!) such as the pork skewer, lamb skewer, patatas bravas, and the torrezno, which is thick bacon crackling - SO GOOD! A few of us, as we were pilgrims, ordered a pilgrim meal. Mine came with a big salad, grilled tuna, and a dessert of local cheese topped with honey. All excellent. Our waitress was very patient with all of us deciding what we wanted and occasionally ordering more food from the bar itself. Our drinks came out quickly and the tapas as soon as they were ready. Most of the tapas at the bar were presented raw, which they then grilled when you ordered so it would be served fresh and hot! I don't know when I'll be back in Burgos, but if I do, I will definitely come back here! Highly recommended! En castellano/español... Al lado de la Catedral queda esta tapería fantástica. Al entrar vimos a muchos lugareños escogiendo de los pinchos (tapas) disponibles: muchas brochetas de carne y pescado, y raciones de queso. Muchos pidieron los vinos y cervezas también. Mis amigos y yo pedimos una variedad de pinchos (¡todos a menos de 2€!), como las brochetas de solomillo de cerdo y el cordero, patatas bravas, y el torrezno - ¡qué RICO! Algunos de nosotros, como peregrinos, pedimos el menú (buena onda). El mío consistió de una ensalada grande, atún a la parrilla, y postre de queso local con miel. Todo excelente. Nuestra camarera tuvo mucha paciencia porque pasamos mucho tiemo dicidiendo lo que pedir y a veces entrábamos a escoger algo nuevo del bar. Trajo nuestras bebidas muy rápido y los pinchos tan pronto como estuvieran listas. La mayoría de los pinchos son crudos antes de pedir, y cuando se piden, se cocinan a la parrilla para que estén frescos y calientes. Si vuelvo a Burgos, ¡por cierto voy a regresar a este gran lugar. ¡Se lo recomiendo!

Naturally there is no English menu but they serve pizza, and you won't need a dictionary to decipher 4 Fromages, 4 Saisons, Végétarienne, Marguerite and Napolitaine, or Burger + frites ou salade. Well, we are a bit more adventurous, so we sort of know the basic words for fish, chicken and beef, so we go with the set lunch which was about €9.50. I can't say that we stumble upon a hidden gem worthy of michelin star, but it's good honest fresh home cooking, inexpensive and serve by a nice lady. So just posting a review here to help a future hungry tourist who wanders into town like we did.

Je dis des Pizzas car n'ayant pas tout compris de la perfection la veille ,nous sommes revenus dans ce petit Bouchon le lendemain et là surprise !! toujours excellent ! zapper cette adresse en passant à Neuvic serait une grossière erreur . Alors franchement n'hésitez pas une seule seconde !! les desserts j'en parle même pas ,ou plutôt si ,des produits frais et fabrication 200% maison ( Baba au rhum revisité etc etc ) !!!
