It was such an amazing experience and I truly believe everyone should experience Le Petit Chef at least once. It's so unique and fun, especially because each show has its own story. Watching the chefs "cook" your food right on your plate and then having the actual dish appear in front of you is such a cool experience. The ambiance was beautiful. A fancy, private room with dim lighting that really sets the mood. I also really appreciated the service. There's an open bar and you can get refills, which was a huge plus. It is a bit on the pricier side, but it was absolutely worth it for me. I honestly thought the portions would be small and that I might still be hungry after, but it turned out to be very filling. And the food was AMAZING. 10/10 experience. I loved everything and would definitely go again next year to see a different show.

Went to this last night and it was absolutely wonderful! The presentation was so cute and fun. And the food was delicious! I had an awesome time and would recommend this experience.

The steak was rare or med rare, could taste the "rawness". The carrots tasted raw and not honey glazed as stated on the menu.

I saw mixed reviews online (not Yelp) about the quality of the food served so didn't go in with high expectations. The food was very good, with the exception of the filet mignon. It would be nice if the guests were given an option on how they like their steaks cooked as it only comes rare or medium rare. I'm a steak gal but the steak did not taste as well as I imagined it could. Also, the carrots didn't taste honey glazed at all, rather raw. The crème brûlée was pretty good, the dish was shallow and only had one blackberry on it, compared to the menu where it said fresh "berries" plural and even other pictures I saw from others. The service was delightful until the very end. After our server took our remaining payment, the service diminished and did not remove the last plate for the ending video. I did appreciate that they were attentive with refilling drinks and changing out silverware after each course. Hitting on all the rating points for Yelp, the ambience was nice. The room was kept dark, all the tables were white so can easily project the show on the tables. Overall, for the price paid, this experience was average 3 stars. Nothing above and beyond than what was paid for. I would consider returning and bring my kids so they can have this cute experience and try a different menu as it looks to rotate.

Made reservations via their website for a Wednesday dinner at 6:30pm. Parked at the parking structure on 6th & K which was a flat rate of $5 (parked from 5:59-8:27pm). The restaurant is located inside Hilton's Wild Hare Bar. We arrived 30minutes prior to our reservation as instructed, to be seated at the designated seats. You might share the table with another couple if you are a couple but they also had a three, 2 seater tables as well. If you are a large group, you will be separated as the largest table size seats 4. The staff will let you know how to set your camera setting (for iPhone 4k. 24) for best quality video recording and will let you know when the next show will begin. The shows were quirky and light. You will get the whole meal listed on the menu which includes both the lobster and the filet mignon (They do offer vegetarian menu which you need to pick during reservation). There is a 15minute break between the lobster and the filet mignon to use the restroom if needed. Each meal was perfectly seasoned and cooked well. Nothing was overly salted or heavily sauced but just right. The seafood in the seafood bisque tasted fresh and the lobster went well with its sauce. The filet mignon was cooked medium rare. I couldn't finish the steak and asked for the rest to be boxed to go. The crème brûlée was amazing with its soft vanilla bean flavor and although I couldn't finish the steak I was sure to finish the crème brûlée. They do add a surcharge of 18% gratuity at the end so your total will come out to be pretty pricy (total of $455.18 for two). The shows were ok but the food was amazing. Staff timed the service really well and each server only managed three tables max so service was great as well.

I love that they were able to accommodate any special requests (no dairy, full cooked meats/seafood) ahead of time when you reserve online. For the price, I'm not sure if it's truly worth it, but it's an experience. I was disappointed in the quality of the projection, pretty blurry. Overall, service was great, just go in with low expectations

This was the most absolutely amazing experience I have ever had the opportunity to attend/be a part of. It was the absolute perfect date night. Pricey as hell but worth every penny. The service was amazing - and they were nice enough to explain a few items that were obviously way too fancy for me without making me feel like a complete fool. The food was spectacular - and at 5 courses, we had to take home the leftovers. It was a magical night that I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you to everyone who came together to make this happen.

What a cute experience. We had such an entertaining time. The video was creative and entertaining. The food had great flavor. We had a panzanella salad to start: large seasoned croutons with marinated tomatoes, some micro greens and a nice crisp slice of prosciutto. Next course was truffle ravioli, pancetta, parmesan crisp and some truffle sauce. Although this came a lil on the cool side the flavor on this was exquisite, this was actually one of my table mates favorite out of them all. Main course was grilled beef fillet & frites, braised carrots and a bernaise sauce. The steak was almost tender enough to be cut by a fork, the flavor with the bernaise sauce was exceptional, while the carrots were cooked with a nice slightly brown glaze to bring out the sugar in them. I would definitely recommend this as an experience. Definitely good for kids old enough to enjoy and sit at the table without assistance. It's a lil on the pricey side but we all enjoyed ourselves and the food. The servers were very attentive and I like how they would wait to serve the next course if someone had to go to the restroom. Everyone go the same course at the same time. They do have a vegetarian option and they also ask if you have any allergies incase you have an allergy concern.

It is very interactive so for that reason, I think it's definitely an acquired taste. The actors were incredible and really knew how to keep the audience engaged. I really wish the actors had a microphone because even though the room is small, it echos and when anybody at your table laughs, you miss what they are saying. I also did not like how close we were sitting to each other at the table. They should have less people at each table and bring more tables in. The food was the reason I took off a star. The food was incredibly disappointing. For $70, you would think they could serve better food. It's a 3 course meal and all were bad. The appetizer was like 4 tomatoes with balsamic. Not a salad and very small for an appetizer. I'm really glad they had a pita bread and hummus bar in the beginning because that kept me full until the main course. I got the vegetarian option which was pasta with veggies but the pasta was so over cooked it was like mush. I've never had pasta that soft. My bf got the chicken and he also felt it was too dry and it wasn't served with anything with substance like mashed potatoes or veggies or anything. Just some piece of kale. Dessert was cake. I thought it was cheesecake but it was more like coffee cake. Also very bland. No frosting or anything, just a little whip cream. Other than food, it was so much fun!!

I can easily rent something, wear my jammies, have a full meal and drinks in bed... but The LOT makes it worth getting out of the house. I still wear my jammies and slippers here and feel extra comfy. The reserved seating is a huge plus, and the recliners are so comfortable you feel like you're lying on a bed. With the push of a button, someone comes to take your order -- food, drinks, whatever you want. Yes, it's pricier than a standard theater, but the experience feels special. The theater itself is clean, small, and elevated compared to a typical movie theater. Each seat has its own little lamp and a swivel table for your snacks or dinner, which makes the whole setup feel boutique and cozy. I haven't tried the outdoor bar, restaurant, or café yet, but I love that they offer all of that in one place. However, both food quality and service have been declining. They recently debuted ordering directly from your phone. But there's a tension between going that route and the servers. The servers are more proactive, almost aggressive about getting to you before you begin a phone order. And if you politely refuse, then you're persona non grata to them. Case in point, this weekend we watched the latest Star Wars movie. I'd ordered ketchup and ranch with two of our entrees. Neither were delivered with ranch, only ketchup. When we pressed the button for help, it took a while for the server to come. She understood our request for ranch dressing. But it never came. My fried chicken sandwich was dry and barely edible. The fries were good though, despite not getting the ranch I asked for.

This was our second go around with The Dinner Detectives (Murder mystery dinner show)…read more Our first time was 2021 or 2022, I believe. And back then- majority of staff were wearing face masks. This location is in Downtown San Diego in the lower level of Courtyard by Marriott. Down below are old bank vaults, that we opened for guests to walk in a few years back- during intermission. This time, they were closed. And I was told by another family member- they're now utilized as meeting/ event space. But, next to vault and alcohol bar below- there are also telephone rooms. Wooden closets w/ a cushioned bench. The old public wooden telephones had a brass hand crank and a wooden ear piece. We had a group of ten both times we attended and unfortunately were not seated together. Although both experiences were Christmas gifts for all of us to hang out- we had a social hour upstairs at the pool table area. Which worked out because I had no idea our tables would be split, due to our group size. The appetizer menu is vegetables, hummus, and pita chips. Check out the website for dinner menu. The pre set Greek Salads at the tables were delicious! Vine ripe tomatoes, Persian cucumber, red onion, Kalamata olive & red wine vinaigrette to start off with. What I didn't appreciate (along with some guests assigned to our table also- is that the salad plates were quickly removed from us while we were still finishing up). Both times, we had the chicken. And this time, the chicken was DEFINITELY not the highlight. Most likely it was the frozen breasts w/ grill marks on them and just reheated. No flavor. Tough as heck. The accompanying herbed polenta, braised kale, and heirloom tomato relish was good. The actors are fast paced. Be suspicious of those at your table, people you meet in the lobby below as you're waiting to enter the dinner room. Be observant. Ears and eyes open. Make sure your phone is charged- since you can scan a few QR codes during this experience. Which are also the clues that will be posted to the Clue Board. Another cool thing, someone that's part of this dinner mystery may use an attendee's social media as props! Like, obtaining photos- which is hilarious- bc it's part of the dinner mystery! There are gratuity envelopes at the center of every table. Although it's optional, of course, the gesture is appreciative. Restrooms are located at the main lobby and below. Stairs and elevator access. Valet parking available.

This being downtown San Diego of course you need to plan ahead for parking, but there are plenty of Lots nearby and walking distance, one of them that leads right into the parking lot of the theater. One of the positive aspects of being downtown is that you have plenty of options for dinner before or after the show. Of course you may want to make reservations ahead. They always offer concessions, of different alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as little charcuterie board type items, and candy, Etc. Of course just like any other venue of this type, it is priced above what you would normally pay for those items. I always try to sit in the orchestra section because I feel there is more leg room, and I hate to feel cramped. The seats also seem a bit more comfortable in that section. I will say I honestly don't think you could have a bad seat in this theater though. The sound is usually fine, but I will say for Moulin Rouge I had trouble hearing what they were saying especially during the songs. I love that everyone is always so helpful when trying to find your seat, they will walk you to your section and show you exactly where you need to go, which is nice because it can get chaotic with so many people ushering in. Overall this is a great location and the shows they have are amazing. Definitely reccomend looking at the season and seeing what they have to offer, they're is usually something for everyone
