    a bowl of seafood soup

At $129.99 (plus taxes and gratuities) for a 5-course meal, it's probably not something you'll visit regularly. Still, it is an interesting technology to experience and something you can bring children to as well - note, they suggest children be 6 or older and offer a 'Junior Chef' menu ($64.99) for those 10 and under. Without giving too much away, you enter the space and tables are already set with plates precisely placed for the projection. In case you fidget with the plate, when the animation begins, the video shows you where to move your plate back to. Before each course, a ~3-minute video is shown where Le Petit Chef creates a dish in a slapstick manner and when the projection stops your dish is presented in real life. Despite having to serve over 30 people in short succession, the dishes were prepared well. The bouillabaisse arrives hot and the tomato saffron broth great to the last spoonful, even though it looked a little watery. Studded with a piece of fish, calamari, shrimps, and a mussel, the squid stood in for the octopus featured in the video, so while not necessarily accurate was close enough. It would be nice if Jokers creates something closer to the dish just seen in the video. The little chef throws lettuce leaves onto his caprese salad di bufala, but our plate is leafless, the bulb of fresh buffalo mozzarella simply adorned with wedges of tomato and a basil leaf. Not exactly screaming of a fulsome salad. This is a lengthy review, for the rest head to GastroWorld.

Cool experience.. I never heard of this until my boyfriends family booked it for one of his nieces 21st bday. It was definitely a memorable experience, from start to finish. The servers were really kind and nice and super quick with dish serving and accommodations. This whole experience is about a little tiny chef from France making our food in the kitchen and having it served directly to us on our table. It's definitely unique and never seen before. I had a good time and the dishes were decent, I wouldn't say per say, that the food was amazing or great. I would leave it at that it's ok/ decent at most. For $130 dollars per person, I can't justify that it's worth it as the food wasn't good. However, you are there more for the experience than the food, you'll have a good time.

Immersive culinary journey on my birthday! Met the cutest lil chef @le.petitchef and watched him cooked our dinner right at the table! The 4-course dinner set is decent. The show was more impressive at the beginning and kind of got unoriginal as it progressed. For example, they had a full on show of Le petit chef picking up potatoes and beets from the farmland background dining table and tossing onto our plate. When the dessert was served, they didn't even bother putting on a show anymore. The dining table was a blank canvas and I thought it was a missed opportunity there. Overall it was a great experience. Food was decent but nothing spectacular or memorable.

Fun experience! Visual pleasing and the food isn't too shabby either. Service is nice and friendly. Make sure you make reservation ahead of time as I believe it is by reservation only. Chicken was juicy, steak was made to perfection of medium rare, creme brûlée was delicious

I haven't been for karaoke but have seen comedy and magic plus a live Michael Jackson impersonator performance. The staff is amazing especially Steve and Khel. I got to meet one of the owners (Dave) yesterday & he is going to do a hypnosis show on December 17th! Can't wait! The only reason why I deducted a star is because they have gotten their organization to a tee yet. We ordered their nachos yesterday & watched it being brought out and back twice as they couldn't figure out which table ordered it so by the time it finally arrived, the cheese was cold and hard & melded everything together so it was difficult to separate (had to literally stab the pile with a fork). I also asked for a separate bill in the beginning as we were 2 couples but that did not happen. I asked for it to be corrected and told her exactly what we had but it still came back incorrect. I just paid for my friend's beer, no biggie. I'm sure they will get better with time and getting used to extremely busy nights which is what I'd like to see. The people (staff) there is the reason why it has easily become my favorite place! Also without having to drive all the way downtown and find/pay for parking.

With its infancy comes growing pains, which stemmed from a malfunctioning printer, so the kitchen…read moreand bar weren't aware they were receiving orders. Ultimately, this resulted in a 20-minute wait for drinks and over an hour wait for food, during a July visit. At first, we didn't mind waiting for food as their martinis ($15 each) were so satisfying. The French martini was dangerously smooth thanks to the sweet Chambord and pineapple juice mixed with the vodka, a lovely summery drink. The Lychee Loves Lips martini was a bit stronger with the addition of lychee liqueur to the vodka. Although, I was a little disappointed to a lemon slice garnishing the drink instead of lychee. Even a canned lychee would really add to the experience. As much as we loved the drinks, after waiting 45 minutes, we finally asked someone to check on the food. It was then they discovered the kitchen hadn't received our order and quick fired a complimentary bruschetta (not offered on their regular menu) to keep us satisfied while our meal was being prepared. We were thankful to have something to tie us over. I imagine they were rushing to send out food as the frito misto ($19) needed better draining to remove the excess oil and create a crispier flour coating. At least they were well seasoned, and the first bites super crispy and wonderfully hot. Being a frito misto, or a mixture of fried seafood, ideally the appetizer should contain more than a few shrimps. Alternatively, Jokers should consider dropping the scant crustacean and relabel this as fried calamari instead. With two simple tweaks, the burger ($19) could shine as it was tasty and incorporated fresh ingredients. Firstly, cook the beef to medium so the thick patty isn't so hard. Otherwise, if pink beef is not in the cards, chefs should form looser patties (so they are less dense) or switch it up and use two thinner patties instead. Secondly, nix the romaine (or at least the rib portion of the lettuce leaf) as the hard and uneven surface area causes the patty to slip and soft brioche bun to break. There's a reason why ice burg is so widely used. At least the fries were hot and crispy. My friend noted her steak was cooked to the requested medium rare but had a burnt taste. We figure it stems from two causes: either the pan/grill wasn't properly cleaned between uses (in this case, make sure they are cleaned) or the black pepper sauce covering the steak was burnt. If it's the later reason, to ensure the steak doesn't cool off or overcook, present the steak at the table first and let the customer know the sauce is being prepared again and will be brought separately. I would much rather wait for the sauce than have burnt tasting steak. Hopefully, as the restaurant matures, they will develop stronger front-of-the-house management or staff will become more cognizant of operations and communicate better. Indeed, businesses are reliant on technology, which causes havoc when there are issues, but seasoned personnel can mitigate or reduce the aftereffects. For example, I'm surprised it took us checking on our food for Jokers to figure out the kitchen wasn't getting orders. When they are approaching a busy dinner period and food isn't being ordered or coming out of the kitchen, shouldn't someone notice - either the kitchen, our server, or management? With the drinks, even after technology issues were resolved, we noticed my friend's second martini sitting at the bar for ~10 minutes before it was finally brought over. Our server was helping serve the Le Petit Chef dinner, but there were other people milling around the bar. Given Jokers operates two venues in one, management needs to be on the lookout for ready-to-serve drinks and food and/or servers need to communicate and ask others to cover when they are serving during Le Petit Chef periods.

I had seen the show many years ago as a teen on a school trip, before they had their own venue. Like a good wine--or anything special that ages with care and purpose--it has only gotten better with time. The cross-city rush hour drive was absolutely worth it once we arrived. The venue, located in a strip mall/industrial park, had plenty of free parking. We stepped into a one-story, open, airy, and accessible building that immediately felt welcoming. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of joy that set the tone for the evening. We were escorted to our table in a dining area that felt both spacious and intimate. Everything was clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully arranged. The tables were dressed with cloth napkins, tablecloths, and seat covers, giving it a relaxed yet elegant feel. I especially loved the photos of celebrities who've been involved with the company, tastefully displayed around the room. The service throughout the night was excellent. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They struck the perfect balance, friendly and warm without being overbearing. We truly felt like more than just guests. We felt part of something meaningful. The evening unfolded in three acts. Act 1: Dinner. The meal far exceeded our expectations. Each course--from the appetizer to the main--was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully plated. I'm not usually a fan of salad, but I really enjoyed the one served. Even my son, who's not easily impressed when it comes to food, not only cleaned his plate, he raved about the meal. Act 2: The Show. Before the performance, the cast encouraged us to sing and dance in our seats, and we did not hold back. Twist and Shout was a high-energy, creative, feel-good experience. The puppetry, lighting, and choreography were brilliantly done, and you could feel the joy radiating from the stage. Watching my son fully engaged made it all the more special. Act 3: Coffee and Dessert. The desserts were decadent--two types of chocolate delights. My son and I went halvesies on both, a perfect sweet ending to the evening. What really sets this place apart is its purpose. You're not just seeing a show; you're supporting something meaningful--an inclusive and empowering space that celebrates ability in a truly unique and beautiful way. Equity, inclusion, and diversity are not just buzzwords here. They're lived values, visible both on stage and behind the scenes in a way that feels authentic and inspiring. If you're looking for something uplifting, meaningful, and different from the usual night out, this is it. It's rare to find something that resonates across generations, but this did. It would be a fantastic option for schools looking to offer students a fun and impactful experience, and it would also make a memorable, purpose-driven setting for a corporate event. Whether you're going with family, colleagues, or students, this place is a gem. The experience itself felt like incredible value for the money.

I think it's awesome if it's your first time going but when there nothing new happening and the food isn't blowing you away, there's just not much reason to go back. The red mat on the floor isn't obvious. - Frozen drinks at the lobby bar are surprisingly good/well-spiked (you can also get them alcohol-free for the kids) - Souvenir clothing items are decently priced - Be sure to see the horses when you first walk in. They're taken out of their stalls pretty quickly after you're inside. - Museum of torture got to be too much for me about 2/3 of the way through (I can be sensitive to graphic stuff, and made the mistake of reading all the placards). Had to abandon. - Condition of the restrooms (specifically the floors) was unforgivable. This was true of all restrooms, multiple times through the evening. - Couldn't follow the story line during the performance, but it didn't really matter. :) - Performers were excellent and COMMITTED, and our server (Kat) was wonderful. - Food was way better than expected! - Combat impressed even my 12 & 13 year olds. Sparks! Splinters! Awesome. - If you can't be silly, don't come. Let loose. Cheer! Boo! - I find dressage (making horses dance and bow) really unnatural and a bit upsetting. It feels forced and looks uncomfortable to me, so I never like those parts - and there are a lot. Just be aware. (And know that you may have to explain why they're whipping a horse to your young child.) - Overall we had an awesome time. We hooted and hollered and made memories. Thanks, Medieval Times!

It's an interesting take on a caprese, although I would have liked actual mozzarella pieces as well. What makes the dinner interesting is you need to pay attention to the dishes. For most, there's something included in it that helps you with the puzzle. The truffled mushroom cigar looks impressive; a thin crispy crepe filled with a mushroom mousse garnished with black sesame ash to really give it the full effect. It's too sweet for my taste but I get why it's needed in the context of the game. Diners have a choice of mains: beef, chicken, or falafels. We all opted for the braised beef, a decent portion served with silky garlic mashed potatoes, carrots, and green beans in a rich jus. Before the main, I was still hungry but given its sizeable portion it left me satisfied. The beef was nice and tender and quite good for a murder mystery. Before the dessert we're given a palette cleanser. How it comes and what it is, I'll keep secret and not spoil the game. We end with another mousse, this one a cheesecake topped with graham crumbs and a berry compote. It's good, but by this time I'm a bit tired of mousses, just give me something to chew on already! Who knows, maybe they thought their demographic would seniors with no teeth. Having been to several murder mystery dinners, I'd say this was the most enjoyable. The Perfect Bite is more than a show, they include puzzles with each course, which give you clues towards a larger puzzle. Rest assured, they're not difficult puzzles and if you're stuck, "Frank" the bar manager comes around to steer you in the right direction. Without giving too much away, I also liked that there's a twist, and it culminates in the final puzzle where you can really sleuth by getting out of your seat and using other devices.

We arrived about half an hour early after stopping at Lake Effect for scoops. Who needs dinner and a show when tummy ice cream is involved? The theater also sells snacks as food and drinks from the outside are banned. We were greeted outside by a dapper gentleman who held the door for us to get into the lobby. Unlike other theaters, there was elbow room to have them check out printed tickets and make conversation about the show. Others had digital tickets that seemed to work as well. We popped into the loo, which thankfully had multiple stalls, hardly any wait and was fully stocked with soap and towels. There were people selling souvenir toys and raffle tickets that we bypassed to find our seats. The playbill girl gave us a rough estimate of where we would be located. Thankfully everything is clearly labeled as to not get lost. For a mere 40 each, after fees, we were five rows back, centered. The view was clear, the sound was clear and the leg room- my gosh. For the first time in a long time a theater had room for me to stretch my legs a bit instead of cramming in more seats. The view is historically gorgeous in architecture and paint. Though we were there to experience the show, not just a building. The show started on time, held a brief intermission and concluded in about two hours. During that time, we got wowed by talented singers, very acrobatic dancers and mostly talented actors. (There was one that we would have probably chosen a different person to portray the roll, but I'm not going to crush a child's dreams when they did adequately. And others filled their rolls amazingly so I'm chalking it up to personal preference.) The costumes are well constructed without being extravagant. Tiny shorts cover any areas that would make this child friendly show receive an R rating. At the end, after all the standing ovations, we were able to exit with ease and get back to the car, parked at no cost in a nearby lot. Beat that Buffalo parking. Extra shout-out to whoever put the dual drummers in the loge to let us see the masterminds at work. They were the heartbeat of the show for me!
