A gem in the area where I live in Paris. I would qualify this as an "un petite épicerie fin du coin." Within that small store, they carry a good selection of wines from the southwest of France, the Languedoc-Roussillon region, a selection of whiskeys from all over the world, even India and Japan, as well as crafted Parisian whiskeys, rums from the Caribbean, vodkas, calvados, and artisanal canned produce and air-dried sausages. The owner speaks some English and very helpful in answering questions and very knowledgeable in what he carries. It's a very local epicerie, tourists-free, and just a couple of blocks to yet another tourists-free outdoor Marché Popincourt which operates on Tuesdays and Fridays. read more
