I saw a handful of options under 10 euro and figured anything in that range that was handpicked by a local wine merchant would probably be good. A guy quickly walked in while I was there to buy a couple bottles of a wine that was in the window, so I figured I would take a shot and buy a bottle of the same thing. I think the bottle was around 6 euros. The wine merchant was nice even though I didn't speak any French. All in all it was a pleasant experience and better than just picking random from the nearest supermarket (but I haven't had a bad bottle from there either).

My mom was really interested in buying some wine as a souvenir from this trip and while we really hadn't been actively looking we decided to go into this shop as it felt convenient at the time. The staff there were pretty friendly. I wasn't sure if they'd be dismissive of us cause maybe we didn't seem like we would actually buy wine-- as we were really just looking. Originally what caught her eye was the Eiffel Tower souvenir bottles. She didn't plan to drink it, just to display and the price was reasonable. However, we did end up buying a bottle upon recommendation by the clerk. I don't typically buy wine so I don't actually know a ton or a lot about it, but it was nice how helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly the staff was to us and it did make a sale due to it and my mom got her souvenir wine.

I didnt get the owner's name however he really took care of us with a cheese plate, fresh meats and pates, and a beautiful reasonably priced bottle of Sancerre Blanc. Warm fresh baguette, delicious! Quaint & cosy establishment. Wine with chalked prices line the walls. 6euro corkage added onto the the price. Definitely will be returning! Merci!
