On the terrace. Good being served to the table next door.

If you are a visitor to the area this is a very enjoyable place in probably any weather. I chose the "Filet de Barbue Planha,Asperges,Vertes, et Mousseline Legere". A most excellent dish as rarely can a chef master browning white thick fish without over cooking and drying its interior. The asparagus and dipping mousse were excellent perfectly matching accompaniments. No need to purchase one of the extra " garnitures supplement". The Porte d'Auteuil circle is comical to watch on Saturday from 1:30-3:30 pm. Paris brasserie seating on a terrace (raised in this case, see photo) provides a separate but intimate look into Parisian life. Old French men and ladies with their canes and facial expressions, youngsters on their unpowered scooters and so many others of all ages and types on their e-scooters. It's a look into the personal lives of locals and in some cases travelers from afar. Families coming to and from the local stade (stadium), the Bois, and of course Roland Garros! The matches start tomorrow so I've avoided the craziness. If you're in town for RG, do reserve your table as I'd recommend the extra effort. My waiter Mario, was kind and helpful with his English, although he admits his knowledge of the language is forming, but effective, and he's perfectly adept at guiding lost menu readers. What is "Le Tigre qui Pleur"? "It's a beef deesh in a spicy sauce"... according to our franglais conversation. I was tempted but I just ate beef last evening.

The vibe was great inside! The ladies were super friendly and made us feel comfortable. They had tables at the front for seating, a decent size bar area and a dance floor. Since we were there for dinner we were seated in the front in the corner. Our waiter was super friendly and was patient with us while we ordered. I had the Lobster pasta and it was excellent! The pasta tasted like lobster bisque with a strong lobster flavor. There was bit sized chunks of lobster meat and a claw on top. The pasta was the perfect texture. My husband had the salmon and it tasted fresh and had a nice sauce. The rice was pretty good with the different textures of what I believe to be pomegranate seeds. There was rolls placed on the table but they were hard as a rock so we couldn't even try them. They also had some croutons sticks with olive tapenade which was okay but not our thing. The drinks had unique flavors but not that much alcohol. The live band was good and kept the patrons involved in their performance (I was handed the mic for a sec lol). The dj that came a little later was good as well but we didn't stay to late to see how much the vibe was going to change. Overall we had a great time and I am so glad we had a great experience unlike other Americans and were let in the establishment. I would recommend this place just dress nice slightly conservative and tell them your going to spend money and you should be good.

So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!
