It looked so nice inside that I tried it first chance I got. It was PERFECT! My family and I spent a lovely evening, in a great place, with the best food I had in a long time. Everyone loved their food. As for me, I went for the beef filet, which in my opinion, is a classic and that can either great or disappointing. Well, it was great!! We also trusted the 'wine of the month' selection and were not disappointed. Crème brûlée as a dessert, another classic, also absolutely on point. I particularly liked the mandarin oranges growing in a large pot along the walkway into the indoor portion of the restaurant. If I had one quarrel, it would be that all the food was a bit "precious". And, it was quite expensive - for a party of eight, at lunch, with no liquor, the basic menu, cost was well over 300 EU. We were given one small roll when we arrived and nothing more for the rest of the evening. When you have gaps between courses it is always nice to have some bread. The wine list is nice and we had a nice red that was reasonably priced. We also had a well priced Eisweine to end the evening. The first course of smoked salmon and tahini was pretty ordinary but the fish and venison course was nice. The dessert was also very nice and well executed. There was a huge gap between the first and second course and it was a two hour timeline to get a four course meal served which is too long in my opinion. The place was busy but when you offer a surprise menu then you need to prepare the execution accordingly. It's a fairly expensive place but I enjoyed my meal. I would come back here again.
