It was one of the only places open at 5 pm on a weekday, so we didn't have much of a choice. My friends and I each went for the three-course deal. I had, for my first course, the moules marinieres, which were actually quite good. One of my friends had a nordic salad, which did not look particularly appetizing. For our main course, a friend had carbonara spaghetti -- not the most authentic take on it (weird, given the proximity to Italy), but he liked it. I had an entrecote steak; it was a bit rubbery and all around difficult to eat, with some extremely raw areas and some too-cooked ones. It was just not the best cut overall, and the accompanying fries were not wonderful, either.
For dessert, panna cotta, smooth and firm with a sweet taste and subtle heavy-cream flavor; undoubtedly the most satisfying part of the meal. On balance, though, the extremely slow service and the disappointing main course defined my more lasting impression of this place, unfortunately. read more
