But that doesn't change anything on what it says about this studio. As a woman that never does her nails/lashes or treatments, I feel welcomed like a queen every-time I step into this place, and taken care of. If not for the quality, the atmosphere will right away confirm that you've stepped into a place that'll take the best care of you. And it again didn't disappoint. I asked for "cat eye extensions", and have never had my look so beautified before! I even got to learn more about the quality of their products: the eyelash glue was developed by the owner, Danielle, so your lashes resist better to the water, sleeping on your face or other obstacles that usually peel them off. The prices absolutely match the results, and you can be assured that regardless of whom will take care of you, any employee there will make it a pleasant experience. Side note: it only took 1h30 for the lashes you see in the photo. My lashes look so natural, and three days later I can assure you that they still look as beautiful, from an to pm. After he did my nails the first time I knew I would come back to see him every time, because it is very clean work and he keeps the nails pretty thin. He clearly takes a lot of pride in his work and will make sure you love your nails before you leave. I recommend him to all my friends who compliment my nails. They also grow out very strong and can last for 3-4 weeks. The color is his own mixture with chrome on top and I get it every time because it's that good. Pricing are $20 for a mini fill (only needed once every week or so if you're not doing other fills), $40 for a full fill (only needed once every 3 weeks generally) and I got my first full set from Groupon for $75 and it included a free full fill. Quite the deal! Alyssa is the most affordable eyelash extension place I've seen thus far in San Diego and per quality is above any other salon I've tried. I did my lashes for a cruise and have filled them twice now just to maintain throughout the summer. It's so nice to not have to wear any makeup on vacations, pool days, etc. and my sessions with her are so relaxing, you should try her out! *Note that the salon doesn't have A/C though there's been talk of the building putting that in soon. That being said the window is open for a nice breeze and I've gone twice now when it's 90 degrees out in Pacific Beach, yes 90 in PB, and didn't even notice it being warm. If you run hot try to set up your appointment on a cooler day if possible. Booking at least a week out is recommended.

Out of the nine appointments I have booked, four have been moved or rescheduled on the day of the appointment. One appointment was rescheduled twice, and another was rescheduled three separate times. The reasons given have included a flat tire, a migraine, and oversleeping. My most recent experience was especially disappointing. I intentionally booked the appointment less than 24 hours in advance, thinking that since the appointment had to be confirmed, there would be a better chance it would be honored as scheduled. Nikki confirmed the appointment at 4:00 PM the day before, but then contacted me the morning of the appointment asking to move it to a different time. Looking back, it seems that morning appointments were the ones most frequently canceled or rescheduled. While I understand that emergencies and unexpected situations can happen, the repeated pattern of same-day schedule changes over multiple years has made it difficult to rely on appointments and plan my own schedule. The quality of the eyebrow waxing service itself has been good, but professionalism also includes respecting clients' time and maintaining reliable scheduling. Unfortunately, the frequent last-minute changes have left me frustrated and unable to confidently book future appointments.
