i will preface this by saying my mother and i are american and ordered in french. it was not…read moreperfect french by any means but it was understandable aside from maybe a couple grammatical errors. we come in, order, and are immediately shut down and told it is a 40 minute wait. the owner was very aggressive and is shaking his paper with the orders he is completing at us. two girls who came in maybe 30 seconds before us order, and they get their food within five minutes. a couple comes in, orders, and is told it will be less than 40 minutes, but they are invited to order. we were treated very cold by staff. i do not know if it was because we are american or something else, but it brought down the entire mood. dear istanbul kebap: like many other cities in france, avignon relies on tourism to help boost its economy. that means, whether you like it or not, you will be seeing lots of tourists, most with plenty of money to throw at local businesses. you can dislike tourists all you want but your business will tank as a result. you don't have to kiss up to tourists, because it's very obvious you'd rather lose business than serve them, but maybe it's time to act like it you do. if i could give this business 0 stars i would. have fun going out of business when your only customers are the same four french people every other week!
