After visiting the Louvre, we came here for our lunch reservation and boy was it busy. Definitely a spot with lots of other tourists like ourselves. Service was super friendly and even though it was very crowded everyone working was making sure every table was being checked on. I was worried about the food given the spot being touristy but honestly thought it was good generally speaking. I guess the one letdown was the eggs which was literally an egg with mayo (thought it'd be a little more to it) but I also go the duck which I thought was good. At spritz o'clock (5:30 or 6), this little place was not crowded like many others, but we decided to check it out anyway. We were looking for an early dinner because we were traveling and had not eaten all day, and Le Florentin had a delightfully concise menu - which I took to mean that they chose a few things to do well instead of trying to serve anything to anyone. Perhaps my standards were a bit off because I have not had French food in a while and thus was going to be easily impressed, but our meal was delicious. The deviled eggs involve mayonnaise and I believe Dijon mustard, and were thus delectable. The duck had a sweet-tangy glaze and pulled apart easily, and my companion's fish and chips (yes, he did) was excellent as well. Prices are not bargain, but are normal for the area, which is fine, especially considering that this restaurant is right next to a high-end shopping street with $2000 shoes and whatnot. I would not necessarily make a special diversion to come back, but would certainly stop here again if in the neighborhood. read more

Tourist trap. The food was either cold or microwaved-hot. The beef bourguignon wasn't bad, but it was served lukewarm. The salmon and rice was very clearly microwaved. Like many other reviewers have said, a good option in this part of the city but maybe not a "must stop" in your trip to Paris. I like that they are open late! I also appreciated their wine list. The menu left a bit to be desired, in my opinion, and my burger was good but not great. I was expecting more of a variety when we landed on this spot for dinner, but alas. At peak lunchtime, very crowded and very noisy. Seating was cheek by jowl with neighboring tables. Waiters worked hard to serve everyone in a timely and efficient manner. Polite and attentive. Highly recommend. All food and drinks were amazing. This place was packed. As soon as people left a table, others would be seated immediately. All servers work as a team to make sure all tables are taken care of quickly. I was impressed with the service. The ambiance was dim lighting and very cozy. The most amazing food! This place is open pretty late but we were able to walk in and get a table. The menu is written in French, but the waiters goes through the menu and translates it into English for you. They have a part of the menu that changes and a part that stays the same. When you're seated, they bring amazingly crispy potato chips for you to snack on. We got the escargot (6) to start and the leg of duck. It was so delicious we came back again the next day and the restaurant staff recognized us! The escargot is amazing and we used the bread to dip and get the rest of the sauce. The duck was the best that I had in Paris and the salad and potatoes that came with it was also superb. To finish off the meal, we got a crème brûlée which was cold to my surprise. read more

We chose this place because we were doing some shopping nearby and we were able to make last minute reservations. The place was quite busy with a blend of tourist and locals. Mostly tourist though. Friendly service. Food comes out incredibly slow. The French onion soup is very soupy, much thinner than most French onion soups. But the taste was fine. We also had the steak and duck confit. The duck confit with roasted potatoes was quite good. But the steak was bland and chewy like most of the beef I had in France. It came with fries that looked beautiful but actually weren't very crispy and a simple salad. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back. read more

Wonderful experience! I booked a table only 30 min prior to arrival. When I walked in, the boss immediately knew my name and gave me a table in the crowded restaurant. The wait time to order and for the food to be served was normal, but very impressive considering it was very busy. The food was so good! The foie gras was truly amazing!!! Every condiment that goes with the foie gras was unique and matches perfectly! Every server was very professional and friendly. The boss is especially talented. He goes everywhere, knows everybody and what they ordered, and he is extremely sharp and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely dine here again next time I'm in Paris. Very chaotic and busy. It's uncomfortably cramped on a busy night and there is not really any organization in the queue. I get that space is a luxury in Paris but it's giving over the safety limit. They didn't give us a menu for 20 minutes after we were seated. The staff was nice and tried to be accommodating with language, but it really just depends on who. If I would recommend it, get the food for take away! The atmosphere was just too chaotic for me, but the food was so delicious. Wandering through Paris doing some shopping and tourist stuff, my friend and I needed some fuel for the fire. It has a pub/lounge feel. Funky round chairs by the window and a large wood bar. The server spoke English which is always handy. Luckily, most of the French I know is food anyway. :) It was early, so we stopped in for some breakfast. She got apple juice and an omelette. I ordered a cafe au lait and a croissant. I'm pretty sure there may have been a shortage of croissants In Paris while I was there. So good. The coffee was great. Very smooth, not bitter at all. The croissant was buttery, flaky and fabulous. The omelette was half the plate! My friend had a hard time finishing it. Service was great as well. Polite, efficient, just the way I like it. After the guided tour with the Sandemans group, our guide had mentioned that this restaurant had really good food and that they had a good lunch deal for all of the group tours that was about 12 euros that included two dishes. It was either appetizer, and entree or entree and dessert. My friends and I decided hey why not 12 euros isn't too bad. The food was pretty decent, I had the BEEF BOURGUIOGNON and the CREPE for dessert. I thought the food was just mediocre, and there wasn't anything that spectacular about it. The reason for my low rating is because of the service. It seems like the woman that could be manager/ owner acted in a way where she didn't want to serve us. It was really frustrating, because when I asked her for hot water with lemon she gave me a snarky attitude. It was only until we were paying for our meals that she gave us a little smirk.
