ARTISTS BEWARE
I'm deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this café.
My family of five spent a good amount of money, and we all took the time to paint individual pieces.
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time we've had issues at pickup. In the past, I was mistakenly given someone else's item--which I caught and returned. This time, one of my child's pieces was missing entirely, likely given to someone else again, leaving my child sad and disappointed.
To make matters worse, another item came back chipped to the point where it no longer looks presentable, despite the care and time put into it.
When I brought up these issues, the staff made no real effort to take responsibility or offer credit or refund for the damaged piece.
Their handling of customer work feels careless and unjust, especially considering the effort artists put into these creations. It's disheartening to see pieces come back chipped, smudged, or lost--sometimes never recovered.
On top of that, the ambience is far from relaxing. They play loud, repetitive music--usually pop or rock--making it hard to focus or have a simple conversation. When you're trying to concentrate on something creative, it's the opposite of inspiring. Other ceramic cafés are more thoughtful, playing light, calm music at a lower volume to support focus and creativity.
Sadly, it feels like this space doesn't consider the needs of its guests, especially those coming in to create.
I'm altogether unhappy with how this business is run and won't be returning. read more
