The one staff wanted to charge 400$ per person for a 3 service banquet type of event or else he would serve corn to our guests! ...all of that even though we told them we would hire our own food service. This is not the way potential clients should be treated and it gave us a pretty clear idea of how their customer service is running after you sign a contract with them. Upon showing up in August 2012, hoping for a summer 2013 wedding, we were told that the hall was fully booked for 2013 except for a date in April and one in September..That was something we had to struggle with..Either forget the summer wedding, or have it either somewhere else or a year later.. We decided to forego the summer wedding dream, and settle for one in the fall (good thing we did - perfect weather for a huge puffy dress!). We found Joe to be extremely easy to deal with, and signed all the paperwork. He also gave us lists of suggested vendors based on the reviews of couples who've had their weddings there, and so that was a good starting point for us to start planning. Throughout the year, we only contacted them once or twice, but once the 1 month-to-go mark hit, I think I called Joe at least once a week if not more. He was very very nice, and always extremely courteous and helpful. The night of, everything went without a hitch. They were extremely organized in having everything we wanted go right according to plan, the food was plentiful and phenomenal (we still have guests raving about it!), the hall was great, and the service was awesome. They really made everything so easy for us, and I can say with confidence that we do not regret choosing that hall AT ALL (which isn't something you'll hear from us about many of our vendors...........). I've been to two events/conferences here and I have quite a good impression. Pros: - Good ambiance: as you walk up the stairs (2nd floor), there are little blue lights in the floor that makes you feel like you're in space. - Good food options: they have different menu choices for different price points. They include vegan/halal choices. They have a poutine bar or multiple courses - Good portions: the portions are huge and the poutine bar was quite delicious. For the multiple course option, they bring out big plates that the whole table shares, but it was more than enough for the 6 of us. - Good food: the rosemary bread was amazing! It was warm, soft and the rosemary taste really penetrated the bread! The antipasto platter was also incredible. All kinds of cheeses, meats and olives. However, the baked tomato + feta casserole was probably my favourite thing Cons: - They removed the plates as the next courses were ready, which is understandable. However, there were always a lot of food left and I find it incredibly wasteful. Had they left the food longer, we would've definitely eaten more. Case in point, the wild mushroom farfalle casserole was barely touched. I was discussing with the conference hosts and when I turn back, they had already cleared the table. There wasn't a dessert afterwards, so they could've left it a lot longer. - The food got less and less good as the night went on. The bread and antipasto scored 100% on the tasty meter, the main dish was a 30%. It was pieces of chicken wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with cheese, spinach and other things. The chicken was extremely dry and not very flavourful. The farfalle casserole was very bland. It was a sad end to a great start. - The waiters did not announce what the dishes were. There are a lot of people in my group who couldn't eat porc or things containing alcohol. However, the waitresses did not announce anything as they placed little things that look like sherbet in front of us. It was after that some of us tasted it that realized that it contained alcohol. We had to run to the others to warn them before they ate it as well. The same thing happened with the chicken wrapped in prosciutto. Overall, it was a good experience for me, but if you have any dietary restrictions, you should definitely ask them to explain what it is before eating any of it.

The first room we got had a huge yellow stain in the shower. When we told the staff, they sent two different people to clean it however they were unsuccessful. We told the staff that the stain wasn't gone and they finally changed our room after asking twice, however the second room was worse than the first. The room was infested with bugs throughout the room. We reported the issue to the front desk around midnight because the room conditions were not sanitary or comfortable to stay in. At the time we reported the problem, we were not offered another room or any immediate solution because the hotel was completely booked due to the Grand Prix, so we had no choice but to book another hotel late at night. The next day after we had already left and returned the keys, we talked to the supervisor named Walid regarding a refund. He then proceeded to tell us he would upgrade our room for free. When I asked him why we were not offered this last night he said "I don't know." I told him that we already booked another hotel and were not offered a room when we had the problem initially the night before. Walid then proceeded to deny my refund request in front of me because he claimed that he offered me an alternative; even though there was no alternative provided during the night. When I called the next day to speak to the Manager named Alex, he also proceeded to deny my refund request because he claimed that the hotel had "promptly proposed relocating" us, which was not our experience. We were not given an option to be relocated during the night, and the staff expected us to sleep with the bugs in our bed. Now anytime I try to call the manager, I am told he is busy throughout the whole day and cannot answer my call. I have sent an email and the manager hasn't replied back to me. What made the situation worse was the way management handled the complaint afterward. Instead of taking accountability or trying to resolve the issue fairly, they denied our request for a partial refund for the unused nights and dismissed our concerns. Cleanliness and customer service are the bare minimum expectations for a hotel stay. Unfortunately, this experience failed on both. The rooms do not meet basic sanitation levels and the staff are disrespectful. The videos and pictures attached are enough of a reason to stay away.

One of the selling points for us was the floor to ceiling windows which can be difficult to come by. The food was phenomenal. Our guests are still raving about it months later! Joe helped us choose a menu we would be happy with and that our guests would enjoy. The options are endless! Moreover, the service was top notch. As bride and groom, we were treated like royalty and our guests were also very happy.
