Lucky for me the kind lady behind the counter packed up each of my selection without judgement. I went with the ham and bougie mustard croissant (absolute perfection) and grabbed a few extra treats to take home for the kids. I was especially excited about the ginger sandwich cookie and the pull-apart bread... but unfortunately, the small humans devoured everything before I even had a chance to sneak a bite. It's ok to ask whomever is standing beside you what some items are because only a few racks have labels. But everyone will recognize the M&M chocolate chip cookies for example. The shop was inspired by his love for baking and encouragement from friends -- and some of those same friends actually work in the bakery today, which made the environment feel really welcoming. We also loved seeing how he collaborates with other local creatives. From merch designed by a local tattoo artist to candles and soaps made through local partnerships, you can really feel the community support inside the shop. Now for the desserts. We tried: * Blueberry Chai Cupcake * Orange Rosemary Cupcake * Key Lime Cupcake * Fruity Pebbles Cake Pop * Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie * Banana Pudding Cookie * Gingerbread Cookie Every flavor combination was impressive. The blueberry chai cupcake literally tasted like drinking a cup of tea, and somehow the banana pudding cookie actually tasted like banana pudding. Our favorite was the Key Lime cupcake.
