Scallop Risotto

This place was great. Aside from a mess up with the card payment situation which was someone strange. The food was great, the space was beautiful looking right out onto the road, and the food was incredible. Complimentary bread was delicious and fresh. Calamari was very crispy and crispy cod melted in my mouth. Overall a great experience just experienced one mishap with their payment system.

What a little gem! The wagyu carpaccio was our favorite, so fresh and tasty. The duck confit pasta is on the heavier side, but so delicious, perfect to share! Charming ambiance, great service.

Phenomenal meal! Service was top notch and the food was outrageous! Small, & intimate setting right in the heart of town. You will not be disappointed!

Espresso Martini and Old Fashioned

We LOVED our experience at Le Carré- the service was spectacular and the food was equally amazing. Although it is attached to the hotel next door, it feels much nicer than a "hotel restaurant" and the selection is great. It's dimly lit and intimate- there are only about 10 tables in the restaurant which was clearly a benefit with the attentive service we received. We started off with the Espresso Martini which was incredible (chocolatey and very espresso focused) and the Old Fashioned (perfectly balanced and not too sweet- I think the best I've ever tried). I couldn't recommend either more. For food we had the Tuna Tartar as an appetizer which was delicious with the perfect amount of kick from the jalapeños. For our entrees we had the duck confit pasta and the gnocchi- both were ideal portions and extremely delicious. I've already recommended the restaurant to my friends in the area and plan on returning the next time I'm in Montreal!

Cosy and chic place for a little girls' night out. When the place is almost full, it does get quite noisy though. Dishes are lovely and service is friendly. There's the hotel lobby attached to the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit!

Wow! My friend and I came here to celebrate my birthday. We had heard great things and were not…read moredisappointed! We couldn't decide what to get so we both splurged on the tasting menu. It was one of only a few tasting menus I've tried. We weren't given a list of what to expect so each dish was a fun surprise. I will say, if you choose the tasting menu, come hungry! There is quite a bit of food and it definitely got harder to finish as the meal went on. You have the option to do a drink pairing with it as well. My friend did the mocktail pairing and she let me try some of her drinks. They were great! I found both of the cocktails I had weren't super balanced but I'm happy I tried them! One was super strong whereas the other tasted mostly of cilantro in a glass (bit was stunning!) I'll include photos of the food because it was excellent! After each dish we kept saying it was our favorite But if I had to pick three it would be the Fattouch Salad (so good!), the rack of lamb (incredibly tender), and the stat of the show and dessert of my dreams - the pistachio Ashra ice cream with Syrian Cotton Candy. Oh my goodness!! The service was a bit impersonal however we always had what we needed and they were very attentive and friendly albeit a tad rushed. The ambiance was lovely! Such a vibe in there! Highly recommend to anyone wanting a special and very delicious night out!

We ordered the pan seared foie gras, lamb chops, and seasonal pasta. Prices were reasonable. Service was excellent. -pan seared foie gras 5 - the foie gras when eaten with the brioche and pear literally melted in my mouth. The sauce around the plate helped elevate it more. I wished it came with more pieces. -lamb chops 5 - I'm a lamb snob. I like to have my lamb cooked medium rare. No one should ever eat it medium or medium well done. It would basically ruin the meat. These lamb chops were cooked perfectly. Each bite was nicely seasoned. It required very little chewing. Underneath you have potatoes and veggies. -seasonal pasta 5 - I tried some of my girlfriend's dish. Pasta was savory. They were generous with the meat. Flavorful entree.

The service and staff were great, and the restaurant is cozy and beautifully decorated, dark and intimate yet well lit. The food was delicious, if on the heavier side, though that may have been down to what we ordered. The poutine was so good that we cleared the plate. It nearly ruined our appetite for dinner, but in the best way. I had the lamb burger, and these may be fighting words, but it's one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was perfectly balanced, with the savory richness of the lamb patty, great cheese, fresh vegetables, and a soft brioche bun holding it all together. The one letdown was that my fries were closer to room temperature, which stood out because everything else was phenomenal. My son's steak frites came with hot, crisp fries. My wife ordered the special, a pasta with lamb ragù, truffles, and mushrooms, and I got a bite. It was incredible. All in all, it was a great experience with great service and food, and a memorable part of our trip to Montreal.

The owner and his staff of welcoming and friendly and are there to explain the menu and even gave us some sample to try. First dish was the hummus. It reminded me when I was back touring the Middle East. The hummus was so fresh and you can taste the ingredients with a hint of lemon juice. It was so good we order another one. Second dish Muhuhammara This is a dish with garlic, pepper, walnuts and outlive oil. This was a hit. I could not believe how good it tasted and how fresh it tatsted Third Roasted cauliflower This is one of my favorite things to eat and they did it perfectly. Roasted and seasoned just the way I like it. They put a touch of tahini on top. I would of gotten more but they sold out. 4th dish Grilled chicken in lemon Usually the chicken is dry. Not here it was supper moist and the Lemmon sauce was right on point. Not to overpowering. It blended well with all the spicies. This is a must try if you like Mediterranean food. not only is the food amazing the staff go out of the way to make you feel welcome
