Poor service ordered drinks, waited 20 minutes, and re-ordered a cosmo and house gin Rickey. There was no alcohol in either drink. Overall, this restaurant is a great place to come in for a drink and comforting French cuisine. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with mirrored walls and impressive stained glass displays. The service was slow due to how busy the location is but still attentive to our needs and friendly. The food was exactly what we needed after a long day of walking around Paris. We started with the french onion soup, which had a deliciously strong and rich onion flavor and a ooey gooey layer of broiled cheese. We ate every last drop and used the baguette served at the table to soak up every bit. The frog legs were a bit of a disappointment, as they were bland but the texture was good. For our mains we enjoyed duck confit and beef bourguignon. The bourguignon had a strong wine sauce that paired perfectly with the roasted beef and vegetables that melted in your mouth. Food not so good. Service was not good either. Waiter brought food for the table of 4 at all different times. Also, at the end of the check, waiter asked if we had a pen to sign the bill. Lame! Beef Bourguignon was bland and tasted like wine. Duck confit was just okay. The potatoes with it was good. Bone Marrow had no flavor and just fatty not like butter. It might sound like an odd choice for Paris but the salad was truly tasty and I was in the mood for salad. Be sure to try the cocktails! We were looking for a local bar that would be open late and this place seemed to have all the X's marked. When we first opened the drink menu, we were blown away at the prices. You definitely have to be thirsty to come here because the drinks are pricey. We went with the cheaper beer options and even they had marked up prices compared to other bars/restaurants. Also, the patio area was extremely smoky and my eyes were burning from all the fumes. If that doesn't sound like fun to you, I'd recommend finding another spot to quench your thirst. 2 stars. read more

Chanced upon this restaurant as it was late and our hotel was just around the corner, nice wine, attentive (enough) staff, nice complimentary olives, lovely French onion soup, steak a bit tough but then again it was only the 15euro one, not the rib eye, my partner loved her duck, preserved duck, very crispy almost like Chinese style. The creme brûlée was nothing to shout about but my partner, ever the brûlée conniseur appreciated the cracking of the spoon on top. This was a really great place! We stumbled upon this while looking for breakfast places (excluding those with a lot of smokers outside) and we were really, really glad we came here. We both got crepes and they were absolutely delicious. Mixing Nutella with fruit is a brilliant idea and I love that the French seem to love doing it. This place was recommended to us by the hotel staff (but I guess the hotel we stayed at was pretty meh) and this place was CROWDED. I mean it was packed with a downstairs and upstairs. It has to be good right? WRONG. We were seated upstairs and were looking at the menu. They had no English menus at all so we had to try and dissect this French menu. Anyways, one of the waiters comes by and says that we MUST all order our own appetizer, entree and dessert. WTF? So we ordered with another waiter who didn't tell us any of that. We ordered the veal, sea bass, white fish and spaghetti. After ordering, our food came out within 5 minutes. UHH it is physically impossible for food to come out that fast unless it's already pre-made. The food wasn't even hot, it was lukewarm which was really gross in my opinion. I managed to get full off of the bread that they gave, but definitely will not EVER come back here. As everyone else said, it will probably be your cheapest dinner in Paris, but it'll also be your worst dinner in Paris. read more

This place is disgusting. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because the food was okay (barely) and the prices were decent (ish). Go somewhere else. Waiters are arrogant, decor is cheap, food is blah, and the bathroom literally almost made me throw up it was so dirty. If they know customers go in there and that's what the bathroom looks (and smells) like, I shudder to think what the kitchen may look like. You know what, thinking about that bathroom I am changing this to 1 Star, unacceptable. And for what it's worth, there was days of buildup. read more

The beef bourguignon and the pork chop from Auvergne are 5 star without question. It was so good that we ate here twice and ordered the same thing and it was even better the second time! We were there to watch the Euro Cup final and had reserved a place for 15 people. We got there early to make sure our place was set and our group came periodically before the game. After being there 30 minutes and never seeing a server I went up to the bar to order a drink and dinner plate. The bartender asked me why my group wasn't ordering at the same time. I said I can't speak for everyone but we are arriving at different times and maybe everyone isn't hungry but I don't know. He responded that it makes things harder for him and takes longer but to go ahead and order. We sat down and ordered for ourselves only to notice 5 other tables were seated and received their food before we even got a glass of wine. The waiter didnt bring our (very simple) order of 4 dishes for at least an hour. But of course we just sat patiently waiting and waiting, finally it all came out at the same time including one of our two desserts. Oh - then the water finally came, btw. We asked for the check after an hour and a half (dinner was finished) and it still took him another half hour to remember the second dessert. Still no check after asking the waiter 3 times. Finally we just got up as we noticed all the other tables who came in after us all had gone. We paid the check and mentioned it to the manager who didn't give a care. A leisurely dinner would have been great but not when it all comes out at the SAME time! 2 hours later... Im not one to put negativity out there but definitely avoid this seemingly cool and nice looking brasserie if you want to have a positive dining experience. And btw, I don't think it was just an American thing. A couple of ladies left after 10 minutes of no waiter and a few tables around us looked just as frustrated as we were. My friend left a bag of eye drops and one of the staff was making fun of it to the others saying it was condoms...
