Avoid this place. Rude and you'll wait forever.
We visited this restaurant with high hopes after a full day at the Palace of Versailles. We were seated immediately. And the first and only patrons at the 7pm opening (looked like a large group had a private event and were just leaving). And then it was downhill from there. It was clear that the service for locals and visitors was distinctly different. To make a long story short, after an hour we still had not received our food. In the meantime a local couple ( I say local only because they spoke French) came into the restaurant after us, ordered after us, and were served and were well into their meal when we left. We did have our beer and two orders of dumplings (which were good). But we sat there and watched the other couple get their spring rolls and finish them before we received our dumplings. Then they got the same noodles we ordered, as we sat for over 40 minutes. Then we were served two chicken dishes that we didn't order...of course this food had been ordered by the other couple and was whisked away. After an additional 15 minutes I got up, got the menus added up our bill, paid and as we were leaving a server came out hurriedly with two plates of food.
We didn't order Peking Duck, which I know takes a long time to prepare. We ordered vegetables and tofu, vegetable noodles, and salt and pepper spareribs. Pretty easy
Uncomplicated order. In addition the other couple got their water and complimentary chips straight away. We never received the same.
This is the first time, either at home or abroad, we have walked out of an establishment. read more
