It may be a tad lame that I got pizza for dinner during my first trip to France and just a few days before leaving for Sicily at that, but I was curious to try France's take on the dish and compare to what I have had in the USA and would soon have in Italy. I have to say that it was unique to the region and was also very good. My wife and I tried two different pies, one with jambon and another with kebob (aka - lamb). Both were delicious. I think what makes the pizza unique is the creme fraiche sauce. It may be difficult to stomach for those of you who are not used to this type of sauce, but it's tasty nonetheless.
Just a note, they don't bother to slice the pizzas so you might want to make sure you have a fork and/or knife handy when you eat. read more
