But it's about as close as you'll come to a quaint Parisian sidewalk cafe when in Playa. The seating is outdoor only, with friendly table service; and you can also pick up coffee, pastries, and sandwiches to go if needed for a day at the beach or a relaxing evening in the condo. Our favorite here were the almond and chocolate almond croissants. They were absolutely divine and I have to confess we enjoyed these sweet delicacies at least three or four mornings. Twice we also visited for a sit-down breakfast, sharing the generous La Mexicana breakfast with red chilaquiles, the freshest OJ ever, coffee, and a brioche. On the last day we stopped at their takeout counter (located in the back) to order some sandwich deliciousness for the plane ride home. I opted for the smoked salmon sandwich with boursin spread, avocado, and fresh tomatoes - all served atop a baguette that was as good as any I've ever had in a French bakery. What puts Labrioche over the top for me is the pricing.
