Let me start with this...My husband is that guy who reads reviews on EVERYTHING from Places he deals with, Products he uses to Doctors who treat us...seriously EVERYTHING! Well...I arrived home yesterday from my hair appointment and a short while later he was on here (Yelp) reading some more reviews. That is when I thought..how come I don't review places? I am going to now...from his day forward! Good or bad...needs to be shared! So my first of many Yelps:)... Rebecca she has been doing my hair for the past 4 years. My husband and his family have went to her for several years...and I see why! She aims to please! Yesterday I had some new highlights/lowlights and haircut and left feeling SO refreshed! She is very flexible. She takes appointments...even on her off days! She never seems to rush with you and ALWAYS makes sure you are happy! Rebecca also did my hair for my wedding reception last year. I have straght/wavy hair. Friends and family did not think it was my hair because of the curls:). As far as my husband...he gets his hair cut...and his back waxed periodically (my hairy beast...lol). Honestly, would not recommend this place. If you are looking for an just fine haircut go here. I have no complaints about my haircut. My complaint would be that the woman m, because I believe is her name, doing it did not tell me about products she was putting in my hair until after everything was done. I have curly hair and asked for it to be blown straight. She added hair moose to my hair before even asking about the blow dry. If I had known what she was adding to my hair I would've left it curly! So during all the time she took to blow dry it, it turn out shitty because of the product she put in prior. She didn't even say anything. I could've done a better job with better product at my home. She tried but I would not recommend going to this place unless you want just a quick cut and go. read more

I have been getting my hair done here for about 2 years. I was referred by a friend and am so happy I decided to give this salon and Becca a try. when I first went my hair was box died black, unhealthy and boring - now it is healthy, sassy and natural looking ( yes still dye it to cover the grey). Becca listens but is also not afraid to tell you the truth if you ask for something that is impossible to recreate - we all want to look like super models right? Took my youngest in for a haircut with RAINE, ending up getting a haircut for myself as well as a Mani/Pedi. The prices are VERY reasonable, and the Atmosphere is very comfortable. I want to start out telling about all my previous hair experiences and why I keep changing salons, and how I decided to go to this one. It really will help explain everything. I had a bad experience in April 2013 where my hair was over processed and the girl played dumb and charged me an extra $60 for "treatments" to fix my hair the next day. have been to multiple salons since I first started coloring my hair when I was 15. I have always gotten foils in my hair to get it the super blonde color I like. (My hair is a darker blonde, probably the darkest blonde in the spectrum, kinda ashy but not quite brown yet so it takes a lot of foil and treatment to keep it light) I ended up going to a newer salon that I really like almost 2 weeks ago, and got highlights. I ended up not liking them, I mean they were really pretty, its just the girl didn't make my hair the white blonde color I asked for. I ended up attempting to re lighten my hair with a $10 bleaching kit from Sally's 2 days ago (July 31, 2013) and from my lack of experience, and trying to follow my friend's instructions and tips, I ended up frying the bottom half of my hair, maybe about from top of ear level down, and my hair touches the top of where my cleavage starts. The color turned out pretty good for a first attempt (no orange or yellow) but I felt like I might need a toner or something.Instead of going back to Sally's the next morning, my boyfriend ended up driving to downtown New Baltimore since I was at my Grandma's and downtown is 5 min from her house. I wanted to go to a salon that my mom went to and trusted, but it ended up not being there anymore, and that's when I saw this place. I was in a desperate situation looking for advice and maybe having someone putting toner or whatever I needed on for me. We walked in, and it wasn't a friendly welcome. The owner opened up the door and I asked if she was open and she gave me a dirty look and said yes. She kept asking "What do you need?" and I nervously explained what happened and asked if she can fix it. She kept giving me dirty looks and looked at me like I was the most annoying girl on Earth. She said she had a few hours before any clients were coming in and could fix my hair. After she nicely told my boyfriend it was going to be a while and he could come back if he wanted, he left and that's when the real fun began.I asked her what needed to be done, and she talked in the meanest, most snobby voice and basically yelled at me that I ruined my hair and should never ever dare to do my hair alone again, and that to get the color I want she would bleach out the rest of my hair that I missed and tone my hair. It was just the way she talked to me. I have no clue what all these terms are and she basically talked to me like I was really stupid, not like any stylist has ever talked to me before. As she was doing my hair, it literally hurt me and brought tears to my eyes, just from her grabbing my hair to dye it. And then she put spray conditioner in my ends and very forcefully ripped, yes ripped, through my hair like it was a contest, which ended up breaking my hair worse than it already was, and she kept saying how horrible my hair was breaking as she looked at me and ripped the comb down my hair hard. It ended up knotting my hair pretty bad and it hurt when she once again ripped through my hair with the comb, Then she went to blow dry my hair and kept telling me how bad it was, making me feel like I committed a crime for trying to bleach my hair! And before my boyfriend came back, to make conversation, I asked questions about my hair, and was telling her how I was growing it out and she let me have it. She talked in a rude tone and literally raised her voice at me saying "Do you not understand that YOU ruined your hair? YOU fried it, NOT me, YOU did, and now you wanna grow it out?" and just said stuff like that making me feel really bad. My boyfriend heard and saw her treat me like that when he came back in the middle of it. She ended up being nice when I was paying. I will never go back after being hurt and talked down to! read more
