I came in to redeem a gift certificate, and from the moment I arrived, it was clear there was little to no client care or intake process. I was not asked a single question about my massage needs. I was simply handed a health/intake form and told to fill it out. It does not appear that anyone actually read it, because when the massage therapist took me back, she was completely unaware of the first and most important detail I had listed: that I am a nursing, postpartum mother. There was no discussion of my body, my recovery, contraindications, pressure preferences, or comfort needs. I had to repeatedly advocate for myself and ask for basic comfort measures. Even more concerning, no one reviewed or explained any products or techniques being used, yet abrasive exfoliating stones were used all over my body. They were extremely uncomfortable and actually painful, scratching my skin to the point where I finally had to tell the therapist to stop. The scents used were overwhelming, the amount of oil was excessive, and the oil itself did not feel like good-quality product. The entire experience felt rushed, impersonal, and poorly informed--especially for someone in a sensitive postpartum phase. Then came the worst part. As I was checking out, I was told that my gift certificate did not cover the service I received, despite the fact that the certificate explicitly included two of those services. I was told prices had "recently changed" and that I now owed around $50 out of pocket--something that was never disclosed ahead of time and that most people would reasonably expect a gift certificate to honor. To make matters worse, I was told I was being charged for add-ons that were never offered, discussed, or selected by me. One of those add-ons was CBD, which I would have explicitly and immediately declined, as I am nursing a baby multiple times a day. The fact that this was applied without my consent or even my knowledge is unacceptable and potentially unsafe. While I stood there confused, irritated, and trying to process what was happening, I was then asked--without irony--if I wanted to sign up for a membership. I will never return to this business. I also feel terrible for the person who generously gifted me the certificate, as they were then forced to do additional legwork just to figure out what happened to what they had already paid for. This experience showed a serious lack of communication, professionalism, consent, and client-centered care. Seriously, anywhere else you pick will be better.

They called me and asked me if I wanted to do a 90 minute instead and that I could use my credits for the services I had additional credits on my account. after my massage, they asked me for $40. I paid them the $40 but I expressed my dismay at their business practices. The manager was upset with me for expressing my concerns about their unprofessionalism. She threw the money back at me and threatened to call the police on me for having asked a question and expressing my concerns for being charged for something. I've already paid for months in advance.
