The chocolate bouquets make especially nice gifts, and the giant sheets of thin chocolate are nirvana for those who wish to taste their way to chocolate oblivion. Stopped in one of the Bordeaux locations, where the girl working the counter was incredibly delightful as we work through our tasting in Franglish. I suppose a real connoisseur would tell you there are finer chocolates to be had in France, but I'm going five stars on this one simply to say thanks for the helpful staff person. She made our day!

We grabbed a plastic bag and went around filling it with white, milk, and dark chocolates wth pralines, nuts, fruits, and caramel. We meant to take it home with us but it didn't last too long as we went through half of it on the bus ride back to port. OOPS! We did manage to get a medium sized jar of salted caramel which we haven't tried but I assume it's going to be awesome. I got a handful of chocolate covered raisins and they blew Raisinets out of the water! Friendly service and she spoke some English. Merci Beaucoup!!! Great find in Bordeaux.

One of the most creative items is a chocolate slipper, which to the best of my recollection is 19€. The chocolate is as good as any you will find and probably more expensive.

At €1.90 each, they're not cheap, but this was the best one I've had in Bordeaux. The outside has a nice caramelized crust, the inside is still moist by not too dense, and it's not overly sweet. They have other things in the shop like nice chocolates, chocolate bars, desserts, madelines, sables, etc. I would definitely recommend this place for a canele in Bordeaux.
