    Plume's Egg burger!
    Micah C.

LOVE THIS PLACE. We went to Bordeaux two weekends ago for my friends 30th and given that there were seven women, brunch is a given. I had saved a few places on Yelp and this one had a lot of hype, but somehow still exceeded expectations. For those who don't speak French, have no fear, because they display their actual dishes on the counter for all to see. Everything they had made my mouth water but I ultimately decided on the egg burger; which was a poached egg with bacon, veggies and cheese, and was sandwiched between two delicious pieces of focaccia. On the side was a nice mashed potato, more veggies (which they could have left off) and as a fun twist, paprika popcorn! I enjoyed my dish immensely as did everyone else in the group. After our mains we went back inside to take a peak at the pastries. We had such a hard time choosing so ended up selecting a variety for everyone to share. My absolute favourite was this crumble thing - truly to die for. Very close runner ups were the carrot cake cupcake and the honey buttercream cake. Oh and also the lemon square. Basically all of it. So in conclusion, if you are in Bordeaux you must have brunch here, or at the very least stop in for a coffee and a pastry. Hope to return!

The egg burger was the best breakfast/brunch item I ate on our entire trip to France. The flavors were incredible! I also got a salad which was pretty good (had a lot of crunch to it). The carrot cake was very good but I would skip the lemon cake, it was very dry. If you come here get the egg burger you won't be disappointed!!

The staff went above and beyond to make out first meal in Bordeaux comfortable and it doesn't hurt the food was prepared well. We had the curry soup and beef tartare which were both delicious! Would recommend to anyone with only a short stay in the city!

Very popular brunch spot on a Sunday! The brunch is a set menu. A tasty assortment of bread basket, couscous salad, granola, ham, cheese, baked beans, veggie frittata, and yogurt. I have food allergies with milk/cream/dairy so no yogurt or cheese for me and also cranberry which was in the granola and scones I very carefully picked out some of the craisins out of the granola but got tired of doing that. The frittata, ham, couscous salad, baked beans, baguette and lemon poppyseed muffin were plenty so I still had good things to eat. I was a bit sad I couldn't eat the scones because they looked tasty and were warm. The free servings of coffee is nice though.

My mum and I went to Bordeaux for 3 days and the last day I toke her for a brunch. We went to this place and we loved it! The brunch was delicious, healthy, well presented and we ended so full that we had to take away the sandwich and the muffin (the muffin or le gateau was soooo good! You have to try the muffins in here if you are a muffin-fan and if you like them simple, as I do. Do not expect muffins with a lot of filling variety or with a lot of decoration, no, they are simple and delicious!). I will go here again for the brunch when I come back to Bordeaux, definately!

Glorious little cafe offering FRESH ingredients and brunch options. It's hard to eat healthy in France and Plume will help your body get what it needs. The breads and cream based items are savory, but the vegetables and salads lack flavor and taste (salt). We decided just to thank god we found vegetables and ate them!

Great place for a light lunch. Everything is pre-prepared and on display when you arrive so you can get an idea of what is offered before making a decision.

    Love this place!!

Lovely breakfast! We had the best Joghurt in town and some of the best tasting Müsli! The egg ist something to die for! First place in France with a place to change you baby's diaper! There is place outside, ground flour and first floor! Unfortunately it's our last day in Bordeaux otherwise we would of gone there more often!

    The gratin is the bomb!

The food was very good. We ordered the gratin that came with a side of ham, fresh soup, cheese, and a small salad. Also, ordered a panini with bacon, goat cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes. Everything was very fresh and tasted excellent. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant is cozy. We will definitely be back for more !

Not a great experience. €40 for brunch for 2 and the worst coffee in Bordeaux. Don't believe the hype!

My group and I entered and were hit with warm air as my glasses fogged up immediately. It was nice to get out of the cold for a bit. We fin a seat in the back corner and wasn't sure if it was like the USA where you order up front or if it was more of a dining experience... A worker gave us a menu, and we waited... not sure if they would come by to take our order.... So we went up to order with another worker but didn't have to pay until we were about to leave. Kind of a confusing experience. I got their Matchagato, and my boyfriend got their Affagato. The two were so cute and delicious! We definitely preferred the affogato a lot more as the coffee was really strong with the mixture of the vanilla ice cream. The matcha was good but didn't have a nice intense flavor like the coffee. We also ordered their best seller cookie: salted chocolate chip (I believe). Delicious! Lots of chocolate with the salt balancing the sweetness. Great texture as well. A cute little cafe. I see more people ordering their other matcha drinks via Google so they must be known for matcha here. They also have seasonal special drinks such as pumpkin spice latte in November/December.

They also have cakes and cookies and from what I saw on the menu they also have breakfast. If you need a break from Bordeaux's small, Dixie cup sized coffee servings come here and get your matcha/coffee fix. I do however need to dock a whole star because the barista said I wasn't allowed to use my laptop indoors after midday even after I paid for a drink. What kind of rule is this? Newsflash: people go to coffeeshops to get work done too not just drink coffee and leave. Sorry SIP but this rule will impact your business.

Focused on old-world technique, the selection of breads varying by day along with a collection of pastries and viennoiserie, it was largely a matter of planning and favorable traffic that saw me arrive just after doors opened at 8am on Monday when bakers were still present, and with most options still warm the question of how much to order was largely that of preferences alongside those of capacity. Undoubtedly a place where anything but a "one of each" order will see desirable items left behind, the prices shockingly low with a total bill of just €10.45 for seven selections akin to robbing the place, it was in a chilly Place Camille Jullian that I sat to partake, first bites of the airy croissant awash with butter as golden flakes fluttered away in the stiff breeze. Taking a unique approach to presentation, the apple 'tart' a delicate finger of stewed fruit between layers of buttery cake with a toothsome texture while the financier was a smooth orb dusted with powdered sugar atop rich nutty notes, those fancying clafoutis should make an early morning visit to La Fabrique Pains et Bricoles a top priority, the version offered in late November a creamy masterpiece with raw sections of citrus and stonefruit on top and cooked bits at the still steaming center. Turning to classics at the end, a Madeline with light lemon as good as any straight from the pan, it should seem obvious that when in Bordeaux the canele is nothing short of mandatory, this version as good as any found outside the restaurant setting while the flawless Gateau Basque was a hearty way to finish, the double layered shell rich with almond flour around a pastry cream center.
