When recently visiting 30A, my wife and I joined some friends to visit some of the shops and grab a…read moresnack along Seacrest Beach. After roaming into a number of fun shops, we realized we probably needed to get some souvenirs for friends and family back at home. That was when we came across the 30A Trading Co. 131 which was a huge store with so much to offer! At first glance, this store looked like several different stores as they had a number of different entrances. While we saw the items we would expect from magnets to shot glasses to fun toys resembling sea creatures to pool floaties, we were also surprised to see a number of items teasing the political landscape in the United States (not good or bad, but interesting). Those included toys of the president (a duck of Trump called "The Leader of the Pond" and Gulf of America '25 shirts cups, and hats. There were also random items that you could have forgotten on a trip and save yourself a trip to a convenience store. All in all, they really looked like they had everything! We later learned that this is considered a local surf shop and beach store with apparel and accessories for surfing and the beach along with many gift items. They have everything you need to go swimming. They have shirts, sunglasses, bikinis, bags, backpacks, hoodies, jackets, and activewear. Their accessories include trendy hats, practical bags and backpacks, chic sunglasses, innovative drinkware, and so much more. This store serves the Seacrest community along with nearby Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, and Inlet Beach. Their hours are 9 AM to 10 PM daily. Note that this discount doesn't work in the store, though there are many other promotions in the store. There is free shipping on an order of $70 or more. Some of the in-store promotions included Buy 3, Get 1 Free items (which could be mixed and matched with similar items) and various sales. We didn't need the service at all except when checking out (easy transactions), but we were impressed by this large store with a little of everything!

She paid a good amount of money for the shirt, and when I contacted the store, they would not help us since we did not have the receipt. I even gave them a 30 minute timeframe of when we were in the store shopping, they could've gone and looked at the transaction if they cared to keep customers! Terrible quality, and terrible service! Called Destin store Tuesday and spoke to Jessica. She was so helpful and texted me options for cup, cell phone, and back rack. Andrew delivered them Thursday to my Seagrove house as promised. Somehow over the weekend I broke the kick stand. When picking up rentals I told him what happened. He came back to house with new one and installed it within an hour! Now that's service!!! So happy I ordered with Yolo! Rode to the The Big Chill (Hub) and Grayton beach multiple times without a worry about parking.

I found the paddleboard rental offer online before I started on vacation, and I booked the rental online prior to my trip. I specifically booked my rental for two hours, starting at 9 am, thinking I would have enough time to learn, get my full two hours of paddleboarding done, and make a happy memory. Unfortunately, the shop didn't open until 9 a.m. and although I showed up at 8:45 a.m. thinking that I would be a bit early so I could learn a little bit before the start of the rental term, no one was on site until the owner of the shop pulled up after 9 am. She apologized, letting me know she couldn't find her keys and was running late because of that. Then, after I voiced my discontent with the tardiness, noting that I had booked a snorkeling trip to start exactly two hours later, she began to discuss how the lessons and rental are done by someone else and were out of her hands. She further described to me an argument that she and the person running the rental program had the night before, leading to the current tardiness of the instructor/rental coordinator. The rental coordinator finally showed up at about 9:10 a.m., making no apology or greeting me at all, but instead, heading straight back to the office. He then came out at about 9:15 a.m., and finally apologized for starting late, after which he grabbed some equipment, loaded it into a wagon, and directed me to follow him out the door and across the street to the dock, where the paddleboards were stored. From there, the paddleboarding experience wasn't bad. He went out onto the water with me and showed me the basics, and then left me to my own enjoyment. I was out on the water for about 45 minutes, before finally tiring in my legs due to the constant ebb and flow of the water. Overall, the experience wasn't a good one, and with the availability of many SUP rental locations throughout Destin, there's no reason to repeat this experience for anyone.

My friend and I had such an awesome experience with GUSU and Brett. We had never gone paddle…read moreboarding before this, so we are super beginners. The price was extremely reasonable compared to other rental places. We called and set up a meeting time and location with Brett. He was sooooo courteous to call us close to our meeting time to let us know that the conditions aren't good, especially for beginners and he's willing to reschedule with us. It was apparent that he cared about our safety and level of enjoyment more than profit. We were able to reschedule later in the day when the wind and waves died down. He gave us a quick lesson and we were off into the Norregio bay ! The wind ended up picking up so we weren't able to go down the canal but we had an awesome time and Brett made the experience memorable and fun! We'll definitely be using GUSU's again if we're back in Destin. Hopefully the weather is better and we can explore more places !
