Since I have been avoiding going in…read morestores for too long for any kind of shopping, LCBO's online shopping option was such a great one for me. The process is simple. You shop and pre-pay online on the LCBO site and you get an email when your order is ready for pick-up which is usually less than 24 hrs. Once you receive the email, you go to the store and give them your order number, they bring out your order and off you go. What I really appreciated from this location was their carry out service. The very kind gentleman brought my order out to my car and placed it in the trunk for a truly contactless service.

There is a great selection and plenty of stock in this Beer Store, along with a separate section…read morefor returning empties to get the deposit. I particularly like the fact that as the customer you can wander around the shelves to see what items they have, rather than like other stores locally where you have to pick off pictures on the wall. The last few times I've been there hasn't been a particularly large or varied selection of ciders, but other than that, there are lots of beers here not readily available in the LCBO.

However, I have been passing by this LCBO every week that I decided to stop by and check the store out. This LCBO used to be a No Frills years ago. No Frills is now down the street, a few blocks east of here. This LCBO is spacious and easy to walk around. Even though you couldn't tell with my mask on, I had such a huge smile on my face when I saw BEER WORLD in huge capital letters on the right side of this store when you first walk in. Sure, there were red arrows taped on the floor to guide you through the store. I just had the sign to this heavenly world as my beacon for beer delight. It's one huge beer fridge. The selection is decent. All my favourites were there (yay, Stella!), both local and world beer varieties. All were nicely chilled, including me after I was done browsing. I finally picked up an eight-pack of Cottage Springs vodka soda. I like them. They are refreshing on a hot day and don't contain any sugar. Back in April, there was a lineup of customers outside the door. I didn't see anything like that at around 7 pm when I got there. There wasn't a lineup to pay for my booze, either. The woman was friendly, although she didn't wait for my yanking out my Air Miles card for some reason. She apologized. Anyway, I collected my points, paid using my debit card, and walked out happy with pack of vodka soda. I had a nice experience here. The parking lot does get busier by the LCBO because people want their alcohol. It's in a plaza with a Shoppers Drug Mart, so there's plenty of parking. (230)

I can guarantee you that every single beer you pick up here are ready to drink. Though mostly the usual beer selections but there are also some Ontario Crafted Beers: Muskoka, Wellington, Waterloo, Amsterdam.. If you are into Unibroue there are quite a few selection too. Different format available includes Single and Cases. Great location if you are like me enjoy reading the bottles and always look out for new interesting beers!

The Newest Beer Store in the hood!!…read more The place is huge. Basically the whole store is a walk in fridge where individual cans/bottles, 6 packs or larger beer all on display. It is always fun to see what new beers the Beer Store offers. The return area is separated on the left when you enter the store. Friendly staff. Just 2 of them chilling there when I visited on a Thursday afternoon. Ample parking, I was the only car parked there. This place so quiet when I was there I almost thought it was not open for business yet!
