Well...I was standing in line to pay as per social distancing requirements. Absolutely no one was around while both cashiers were finishing their previous customer and handing them their bags to leave.
I took a few steps forward (again, in an area completely clear of customers) anticipating that either may be done at the same time. All while there was neither anyone ahead, behind or around me in line. No shopper was trying to walk through the area or would have been able to due to the LCBO's covid mitigation strategies. Which I am 100% in support of.
Captain over zealous however at the cash closest to the office decided to raise his voice and tell me to stand back in line in what I'd describe a short and disrespectful manner, which was both uncalled for and unnecessary given the now 20' distance between myself and either cash.
In a busy store, I get it 100%. However I was not within 30' feet of any other human during my time in line. There was no traffic. It was Me, myself and I.
Capt. Infuriating then took it upon himself to insult and make light of his over zealousness to the customer who he was being served ahead of me and leaving. I informed him that I both am capable of hearing reading lips from afar.
His final words were an attempt to "kill me with kindness" however it was clear it was nothing more then an attempt to further patronize a customer.
