This leads me to believe her degree in design is excellent. Then again I'm partial to anything Kentucky. What leads me to write this review is my beautiful leather bag. I've had it for years. My daughter purchased it originally and we trade it back and forth. When I went to the Hayden and Harnett website I was disappointed that all their products are now vegan leather. They are involved with PETA and have changed their mission. So yes I love animals and I understand testing with makeup products but I don't understand why if we are slaughtering beef to eat burgers why we can't take advantage of the hide to make beautiful leather products. Maybe you all can explain it to me. I'm giving 3 stars but my leather bag is five stars. The vegan are nice looking and reasonably priced jf you want to check them out. The store in Brooklyn has closed so you need to shop online.

I advised the saleswoman that I wanted to see the travel watch cases. She informed me that they only had one version. It wasn't what I was looking for and was told that this was all they had. She wandered off and I soon discovered that they in fact did have another version. It was literally right on display. I pointed it out and her response was "oh yeah and we actually have this one, too." She pulls another version out from below the counter. When I advised her, I was going to keep looking, she went to the back of the empty store - there were no other customers - to hang out with the two other salespeople. Umm - ok. No suggestions for other purchases, no offer to help. I end up identifying some EarPod holders. I have to go to the back of the store to tell her. The male salesperson goes to the storage room to get a new one in a box and then proceeds to use his nail to scrape off the price tag. Scrape. Scrape. Scrape. This is supposed to be a luxury luggage store in Soho. Scrape. Scrape. Scrape. Is this a joke? Now comes my salesperson attempting to wrap the gift in Tumi paper with her extra long nails. Rather than clear off the countertop, she attempts to wrap it amongst a cluttered countertop. She is unable to manage because of her nails and ends up sealing it with a Tumi sticker on its side. (By the time, I got it home, the sticker had come off.) She shoves the gift and some paper in the bag and hands it to me. The whole experience was really off putting. There was zero attempt to show me any merchandise. The saleswoman had no knowledge of the store's inventory and I left with something I didn't want. Better service at the McDonalds up the street. (Also this location has moved to Broadway, a few blocks over.)

I found MdT through an ad on facebook. I had been looking to replace work suits through a…read more"made-to-measure" company because I'm short and barrel chested and very few off the rack suits are an option for a proper fit, but I do not have the budget right now for true custom suiting. I chose MdT over some of the more established options because they showed up in DC temporarily at the right place and time, and they seemed a little more conservative in styling than SuitSupply. I ended up buying two suits from MdT during a pop-up event they did in DC. I'm pleased with the finish, styling, and price point, I ended up spending about $1400 for 2 half-canvas suits. The overall experience was pleasant, including selection of fabric, options, and measurements. The "style valet" talked through what I was buying the suits for and what my work and office environments are like, and my general wardrobe and style. After about an hour session (including measurements taken), I had to wait about 3 weeks for my first suit. I had to have the first set of pants tailored, but after communicating the issues back to the "style valet", the second suit addressed those issues and was good to go straight out of the box. Given the inherent challenges of building a suit off a single measurement, I'd recommend that MdT is best if you're in New York and can go in for a second measurement once your first item is ready for you. But I made it work from another city. My assigned "valet" was pretty responsive and helpful by email. In sum, I recommend MdT, though if you're in NYC you've got a lot more options. This is a very competitive niche but I'm happy with the quality, service, and value I got from Martin de Tours.

I was told they would hopefully be delivered by February, but March at the latest. March comes along, and they have to email me to ask for my address. That's a bit weird - I gave it to them when I ordered, and it's the same address they've delivered to before. Whatever. The package arrives, and it's just the shirts - not the suit. I ask what's up. 2 days later, they say everything was sent at the same time, and I should just wait. I email again a few days later... no response. I email again... they say they'll check. But no follow up - so I email yet again. Oh, they found it, they just never shipped it. Whoops. Even then, it took 2 more followup emails and 3 more business days before they even handed it to UPS.
