What we loved most about dealing with Clear Choice Windows & Doors was the personalized service we received. They have a large selection of window frame materials to choose from and our choice of fiberglass was an easy one. It was explained to us that fiberglass windows are stronger than both vinyl and wood, making them incredibly resilient to weather and climate -- perfect for PNW homeowners. From start to finish, our team of window installers provided friendly service, excellent craftsmanship, and it took only two days to install the 10 new windows in our home. Before, during and after, the team cleaned up and kept the work site tidy at all times. There was minimal damage to our landscaping as well. We can feel a definite difference in the inside temperature of our house since the new windows were installed. Our AC doesn't seem to work as hard and it takes less time to cool off in the summer and to heat in the winter. Well...the quote for the windows was $5k. The quote to install them was $8k on top of that! Are you kidding me? After I stopped laughing I arranged to buy the windows but wanted to have Lifetime measure them to make sure that was done correctly. That price was $750 to come out and measure 3 windows! Begrudgingly I paid that just to be safe. The guy that came out to measure told me to just let them know if we had any install questions. The largest window came in two pieces. I reached out to find out if Milgard provides any kits or best-practice instructions for "mulling" the windows together to ensure a tight seal. Reached out again. And again. Finally got a call back to say "we're waiting on the Milgard rep and will get back to you"....well that never happened. Windows were installed and they are fine but the severe lack of follow up up by a company that will quote you $8,000 to install 3 windows left a very bad taste and we will look elsewhere for future window needs. RESPONSE TO OWNER: Sir, no amount of training, experience or insurance justifies $8,000 for installing 3 windows and your company's quote was nowhere near competive. I got two other quotes from outfits just as reputable as yours that were several thousand dollars less so you can step down from the pedestal....you're not the only reputable game in town. I would not be posting this review if the issue was soley cost. I can always go elsewhere for windows. Nor was I holding you accountable for installtion challenges. I was mainly holding you accountable for not following through when we were promised assistance with questions. There you failed. The main question was simply to ask if all the parts were there for the install. And since you didn't deliver my screens with the window delivery (I had to call back for those too), I'd say it was a valid question. BTW, being someone who mainly just posts negative reviews doesn't suggest anything about me or the honesty of my reviews. It's quite common for people who normally wouldn't bother to post reviews at all, to go to the trouble only when they feel strongly about something one way or the other. But nice try tho!

It took longer than expected. lifetime was communicative. We had such a good experience we called them to add a window but they didn't seem interested. Did not come out to provide estimate. Said the "engineering" and permitting would be expensive. Instead, we worked with city building inspection/permitting. Wrote our own permit application, drew diagram, and paid the cheap fee of $30. All approved; no issues. Window was not of the quality we could have purchased from lifetime but at least I have a window in what was a previously dark cave of a bathroom! We will try to use them again in future if need arises. Don't confuse this company with Lifetime exteriors (I don't believe it's same company).

I had them replace an inner glass unit and repair several screens and a screen door. The estimating process went smoothly. I initially deferred to get the repairs done for a few months and requested a new estimate after the thirty day window had passed. I quickly got a new estimate and scheduled the service. They picked up my screens ahead of time and had them ready when they installed the new inner glass unit. Enrique showed up on time and was a pleasure to work with. He installed the IGU quickly and installed the repaired screens and screen door for me. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. I didn't get competitive quotes so I cannot compare pricing, but I'm satisfied with the value that received and will use them again if needed.

But I do need to point out some glaring details about this project as a note to myself more than anyone else before hiring this company. I first reached out to them in November last year and Manuel responded back very promptly using the odd messaging system Yelp uses. We traded a few messages, and Justin came out not long after to do a survey on the broken window in the bathroom which looked like it had been hit with a BB or a bullet. He gave me an estimate on replacing that window but pointed out that a lot of my other windows either had a lot of condensation build-up and/or mold beginning to grow out of the dampness. I ended up making the executive call to replace them all. It was a perfectly enjoyable hour or two discussing and then finishing up paperwork. He said he'd be in touch in about 4 - 6 weeks and left. That's where communication on an unprompted basis ended. I waited for almost 2 months before I picked up on the old Yelp thread because no one ever reached out during that period. Manuel told me twice he'd get back to me, but he never did. Someone named Skylar called me and told me Manuel had left on family leave. What kind of professional leaves his customers without notifying them that they are being handed to another representative? Then Skylar handed me off to Luke and despite my request to give me a heads up so I could let my work know if I needed to be home, he never confirmed anything. A third party delivery service showed up while I was sleeping and I had to clear out my garage so they had room. Then half an hour later Alex and his team showed up to start installing. I'm lucky my job was flexible enough to take me not coming in that week, but for other customers, do they have that kind of agility? It took them two days total to do the main job and then finish. After that Alex showed me the work and I signed a paper that he said was more for his team (I do a lot of projects for work and I'm pretty sure they were contractors for ASW). After that Luke said he had to do a walk for job completion that was never followed up on. I called him as promised and he said he'd get back to me, but he didn't. Then came the Docusign asking me to verify the job walk was done. I didn't sign it, thinking he had to do his walk. This was a $20k job. This is the first house I've ever owned. I wanted to be sure. He then said the job walk was done and I signed off on the work which meant the paper I signed with Alex was the final sign off, but he could have just explained this and saved us an email thread. One final laughable detail is his email to me didn't have an attachment, so his marketing team had to send me the photo he referenced to verify I signed. All in all, this whole process left me feeling like I was an inconvenience to them rather than a customer. The plus side: The windows look great. They reduce outside temperature and noise at a noticeable level. But ASW is just the coordinator. Other companies manufacture the windows, deliver them and install them. The one thing they should excel at is communication with the customer, but they decidedly don't.
