What was especially great was that the boat slips were covered. The only problem was that sone of the slips closer to the shore were extremely shallow but we parked our boat in a shallow spot (3ft) and we were fine but this is probably not going to be a problem for you because the lake was lowered by 2ft because there was a hurricane going up the coast and the mild thunderstorms that would reach the lake would probably flood it. Other than that the campsite was wonderful and I enjoyed my stay.

I particularly liked having a small microwave and fridge in the unit. Allowed us not to waste leftovers. It was a nice day so we went down to the beach and got a bit of sun before walking downtown for the evening. If you have children around the ages of 6-10, I would also keep in mind that, based on our experience, he did not seem to be very tolerant of kids or their normal behavior. Staying beyond a week seemed to bring ongoing issues and unnecessary conflict for us. The campground itself has potential, but the experience with the host made our stay much more stressful than it needed to be. I would recommend thinking twice about a longer stay, especially if you're bringing young children. As you can tell by the consistent one stars reviews about Jeff, you can see that it's constantly him not taking responsibility of how he treats his guests and more on money and making his guests feel not welcome. He makes people feel like they can't feel at home. God forbid my two kids play outside and I do things to make my camper feel like home because it is.
