I've never touched my eyebrows until giving Layla Threading a try upon the recommendation of a friend of mine. I used to see Zarna (who was AMAZING) up until about a year or two ago, as our schedules never matched up and I actually found out that recently she ended up moving to Orange County. That's why I was very happy to have started seeing Shobha regularly. She is kind, consistently does a great job, and remembers me even though I know she sees so many different people which means a lot to me. I hope she doesn't move away because I don't know who else I would trust to continue to do such a great job w/ my eyebrows (and upper lip pre-Covid). You're the best, Shobha! read more

HORRIBLE ‼ The lady left my eyebrows really thin when my natural eyebrows are not and she left them with no shape and my eyebrows are two different sizes and shape. I used to wax my brows but then a friend suggested Layla Threading. Never gone back to waxing! I love Anju - she does a great job - always even, still full like I like them, fast and precise. She's personable and does a great job. Highly recommended her. I've been cut by others there so there are some to avoid. Anju is worth the wait! Update: Anju is my girl! To be honest I don't ever write reviews but I felt the need to share that this location has exceptionally bad customer service. Although my actual eyebrows don't look bad, I felt uncomfortable & as if the gal was trying to get me in and out as quick as possible. I wasn't greeted and she took 2 minutes to thread me (which caused bleeding.) personally as someone who works customer service I feel as though it's important to invest in clients and make them feel as if you care for what they want and the outcome of the service. I have never had a nad experience at this place until Friday. I usually go to Sandra, but she was busy and going with my gut I should have just waited for her. Instead, I went with another girl who was not busy. I told her I just needed a clean and told her how I wanted my shape. Kid you not 2 minutes into it I could tell she was new and all I kept thinking was I hope she knows what she's doing. She did one eyebrow and I was content wuth it. She proceeded to do the next eyebrow and I found that one was in face thinner than the other. I asked the girl to take off what I needed to make them look halfwsy decent. I asked her, do you feel one if thinner than the other? She said no, but if u want someone else to do them you can. At that point I know she could tell I was frustrated. I mean it's my face and I want my eyebrows damn near perfect if possible at all. I tell her to finish, and when she completes them. I just said thanks I guess this will do. I mean, once hair is gone u can't put it back, and I wanted to leave with some eyebrows. She tells me sge wiuld charge me $5 instead of the $10. In my head, I was like you shouldn't even get that. I paid anyway. About an hour later, I'm having a convo about my experience with someone I know and this is what I had discovered. A tweet about me and apparently someone else the day before. All I can say is you never who knows who and somethings should be left off social media. But since you openly admitted, that you felt I was being "rude" because I'm paying for service that you should be more than.happy to do I'll, put you on blast and tell people to NEVER sit in your chair. Loved it! I happened to be in town visiting a friend. I was hairy in the face in ways that you can only imagine. Try not to imagine it. I called in and was informed that I didn't need an appointment. So I rushed over, happily took a seat in the open chair and marveled at my more lady-like appearance ten minutes later. I really wanted to like this Layla's location because all my friends go there and rave about it but I gave it two chances and they butchered my eyebrows both times! I have difficult eyebrows to deal with and get that but both times one eyebrow was thicker than the other and not shaped at all alike. They go super fast and they didn't seem to even pay attention to my natural eyebrow shape. Since then I have gone to the Layla's in Simi Valley because I really needed it and was there shopping. I loved the way they did my eyebrows there! They did it perfectly and it was not all rushed even though they had people waiting. If been going to Layla in Ventura since they were located at the Pacific View Mall back in 2011. I go regularly and nearly always see Zarna. She does the best job! I highly recommend this location. The service is fast and friendly, the salon is always clean and you can't beat the price, especially if you have one of their coupons that are regularly in the local flyers.
