I should have read the reviews for this company before requesting a service call…read more On July 7, 2025, I supported the local community and businesses. The receptionist told me she would submit my request to a technician, who would then call me to evaluate my system. However, by noon on July 8, 2025, I had not heard from anyone. My wife and beloved Golden Retriever were becoming increasingly uncomfortable. I gave this company a chance, but didn't receive consideration in return. I had to find an alternative. I called a neighbor for a recommendation, and the alternative service was at my home within 45 minutes of my call. It turned out they were also a local business, and they resolved the issue promptly and at a fair price. Oddly enough, I was on my way home from work around 4 PM when I finally received a call from a technician representing this company, at 4 PM! I remained calm and firmly explained that since I hadn't heard from them in a timely manner, I had to reach out to another company. The lack of communication and consideration will not be forgotten.

They scheduled our replacement and his technicians arrived in a timely manner to remove and replace our old outside unit, the air handler and the unsightly "box" it rested on. It was not an easy task as the "cheaper & faster" company that put in our old system did a less than stellar job making sure it was done properly. Thank goodness the guys from Arctic Air are committed to doing it right the first time; they worked tirelessly through the heat and a major downpour to make sure everything was in place & working well. They even cleaned up behind themselves and went over the "need to know" info with us before heading out. How refreshing!!! Thank you Arctic Air for the courteous and professional manner you serve your customers!

All of our units are from this company and they never work and when they come out and fix, they still do not work! We could call another company but why should we have to call and pay another company to fix issues that are from their product?? We got a thermostat that did not work so they replaced it. They told me to call an 800 to set it up. The 800 could not set it up. So now we bought an expensive Trane thermostat that does not work with the app and that was the only reason why we bought it. The owners do not seem to care either. There are several other companies on the Island and we would not recommend this company. The technicians are nice but they do not seem to know how to fix anything.

I called another company and they wanted $7000 to replace the whole system. OMG that's a lot for a system that I had just spent $1000 in repairs. After a day or so I calmed down and started looking at other options. It took me 3 days to figure out the guys working on my Trane system didn't really sell Trane products. Duh! So I looked up a Trane certified repair company and found Ed's. Called them, they came out and made that $7000 repair job for $500. The unit just needed a new control module for the fan. Go with the repair company that handles the unit you have. Home Depot handles Trane but they just sub everything out and add a charge on the top. Ed's is the place to go for Trane (which turned out to be a pretty good air conditioner.)
