Like I said before it was cut way too short. Instead of point cutting after trimming for length, the barber trimmed my son's hair straight across after point cutting, defeating the desired "textured" look. Now a few weeks later, he's trying to grow his hair back out because it was cut too short but it looks like a damn bowl because of the bad scissor skills. The people seem nice though, that's about all I can say.

Firstly this dude charged me 30 dollars for a cut. And didn't listen to a single thing I requested from him to make sure my hairline wasn't messed with. I told him to use hold spray for my front taper BEFORE he lowers is with the guard. And he does the complete opposite of it. This dude then proceeds to push my hairline back after I gave him a guideline to not cross when he's shaping it up. He pushed back most of my taper and tried to charge me 30 dollars for that? NAH. This is the second time I've been to major cuts. Both times it was some dude that smelled like black n mild, likely high, having shivering hands while they are shaping me up. Never going to this place again.

So I let my hair grow out for a week from the close cut I normally have, and for the $50 I spent, had to ask this youn lady to actually do my hairline sharp like some of the pictures I've seen of her other clients. Clearly skill is there, but I must not have paid enough for a clean line up also. Plus I asked for it to be cut low only for her to say she's actually not gonna cut it quite as low as I had asked. OK I think to myself, starting to get annoyed. At the end I wasn't satisfied with my hairline sharpness but still tipped 20. After a couple days I was annoyed enough that I had to get a new pack of flat razors and do it myself, only 3 minutes in the mirror and I have a nice 90 degree angle hairline instead of this slightly rounded deal that she hooked me up with. I'm sure some gentlemen will find better luck but you would think that for top dollar you'd get treated a little better. Not to mention she rushed me out at the end, not rudely but rather briskly. Like, you can go now. I got my hair cut up on Ogontz Avenue for years for $15 dollars and never once got such a dull shape up, from neither Ms. Donna or the brothers over at Illusions. You could roll the dice on the Art Lair but I would recommend seeing a real OG if you go with a low cut and want a good taper fade or anything like that, this place does seem on point with braids and stuff though and is a clean barbershop with a good ambiance.
