My friend wanted to come here because she bought her favourite pair of earrings here yeears ago...so we came in for a bit of a mooch. This place is full of interesting jewellery- some of it was gorgeous/ some of it was not really to my taste. BUT Jewellery is always a very personal thing to choose - so maybe other yelpers'd like the things I cringed at. There was also a large selection of different minerals and gemstones for sale...so this place would make any collector of stones happy. I bought a couple of pairs of pearl earrings with Stirling silver backs (for £6 each!!) and left very happy.

This shop will show you some beautiful geology. They have items from £2 to £200 of sheer beauty. Gorgeous necklaces, rings and other jewellery is available. This is a great place to buy rocks to make jewellery with. I have taken a few friends here to Charlie's Rock shop. They have always bought something and loved the store. Antiques on High has the proper smell of old things and has an interesting range of antiques. Rather than focusing on big pieces of furniture, which so many antique shops do, it uses its space wisely to host: Jewellery, books, records, clothes, ornaments, pictures, maps and various collectables. The condition of the goods varies, but they're priced fairly reasonably. I find it's best to go in without the aim of buying something in particular, but just to browse. I can't say anything has ever caught my eye enough to want to buy it, but I've seen plenty of other people who have found the perfect addition to their home or the ideal gift. The best bit is the craft section, where there's a gallery of jewellery, leather, pottery, glass and art in general, all produced locally and all promising to be valuable antiques in the future. There's a great range in here and you can get something for less than a pound or spend hundreds of pounds. Equally, you can pop in for a few minutes or spend hours browsing - it's almost like a mini museum. If you like antique shops, this won't disappoint; if you've never been in one, try approaching it. Don't be put off by the prison-like bars in the windows; the staff are friendly and it's a different world inside.

Lots of Royal Doulton, Coronation mugs and the usual fare for a tourist spot like this. Unfortunately the staff (was the guy the owner?) were neither friendly nor professional. No greeting - and we had to seek them out to pose a question on a piece that Mrs G had some interest in. Really it seemed like they didn't want to do any business - and they didn't!! If you see something you really want in the window check them out, but be ready to work to get what you want :). A bit strange really.....

After…read morelooking all over London the week prior not finding anything that spoke to me, we stumbled upon this tiny jeweller in Windsor on our last day. I asked the lovely gentleman inside if he had anything under 100 pounds and he brought out a tray of vintage silver rings. I found my perfect ring in that tray immediately! I wear it every day and it keeps the memories of my trip close by. I couldn't be happier with my ring. Thank you for such wonderful service!!
