Called Lawson's today to get a price on some work. I was told over the phone that the price for the work would be $40-$50. The job was just snapping two rear panels to the doors no screws involved. As my car was being driven into the bay the guy I was dealing with blurted out any car going in the bay was an extra $15. The work could have been done outside the bay and only took 15 minutes. Now the price was $65. Then they had the nerve to add so called tax to the $65 which took the price to over $70 . I was recovering from surgery so was unable to do it myself. That's not the way to do business . I would not recommend anyone doing business with these people. They smile in your face as their ripping you off. read more

Ok first, Working with Lawson's was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I still rage, thinking about how badly I was taken advantage of. First I want it understood that my biggest issue was lies and lack of communication. So I will say Morgan is great at selling. Although mainly because he has no issue lying if it gets him the sale. So my story starts with wanting to have a custom sound system installed in my girlfriends car. She drives a 2009 Nissan Cube. She asked if there was room for duel 12s behind her back seat, keeping it low, with a false floor so she can still carry stuff in the back. Morgan told her yes. We paid just under 5k to have them build it. (We requested a down firing box Covered by a false floor.) After getting measurements we where told they would build the box portion and call us when it was ready to install. After waiting 3 weeks we get a call from Morgan. He tells us "Let me be honest with you, we lost the paperwork on the job so hadn't called, your box has been ready for 2 weeks." So we set up to drop the car off at 8am for them to do the install. We don't receive any calls so go back right before closing. They are just getting ready to put the box in. They get it in place, turn it on..... and the top splits off. The installer was upset, pulled me to the side and apologized. Told me he had just been pulled to build the box today, and there was no way the space we had could handle 2 twelves. He asked for another chance at the build, and begged for more space. I went home pulled out the back seat, took it back to him, told him he could have all the way to the door, but leave room for air ride. He does the build I come to pick it up. Morgan had the day off, but called the shop to talk to me. He told me "Hey I feel bad about how long it has taken so to make it up to you I threw in 2 more twelves and another amp." I thought that was cool We got ready to hear the system..... It was very quite. As in I have heard stock systems with more bass. The installer told me to be able to stick within the area I requested he had to switch to a sealed box, instead of keeping it ported. I was upset about the system but it was late so I drove home. The next day I couldn't get it off my mind so I took the day off work and went to 3 other sound instillation companies in the csra. All three told me the same thing. The box had 1 inch rim all around, needed 2 inch feet so the subs wouldn't bottom out and some air would escape. They said it should have never been a sealed box. There was a rattle in the box that they all assumed was a brace broke loose. I took the car back up, and talked to the installer. He pretty much told me "Sorry, I built what I could in the space. I wanted to call and ask for a little more space but was told no, just switch to a sealed box." So then I talk to Morgan. I asked him to listen to how bad it was. He told me "Look I pay my guys by the job, if they have to spend another week on your car you need to pay for a new box." This had me livid for a couple reasons. 1) in the paperwork it says there is a 1 year warranty on the install. 2) After all the trouble why would I trust them to fix it AND pay them again. So I left. I waited a couple weeks. I'm a professional and would never allow that quality work to leave my desk. So I figured surely after thinking about it Morgan would want to fix it. After two weeks I take my car somewhere else to get it fix. I'm livid, I don't want to use the sinful sound equipment because 1) I have a very bad taste in my mouth from the whole thing. 2) the equipment is alot cheaper than I expected. I pay for someone else to fix my system. Its at this point I realized when Morgan "Gave me two new subs and another amp." What he really did was remove my two higher quality envy subs and replaced them with cheaper greeds, and removed my 1600 W audiopipe amp and replaced it with 2 cheap sinful sound 800 w amps. So i go ahead and ask Morgan for a refund. He stated "Sorry we can not accept used equipment" I told him I have not even turned on the equipment since then. He stated again "We do not take in used equipment." Its at this point I'm done. Now there is alot I'm skipping over. Like how they trashed the speakers they replaced in the doors rather then giving them too me. That the guys that fixed my system told me its a good thing I didn't try to listen because the battery's in the back where hooked up wrong and where swollen and close to bursting. .... so thats my story, I left out alot, and tried to keep it to just the unethical portion, not including all the information the installers told me about why it all happened. (Not trying to get anyone fired) I will leave it at that. I'm writing this at work so I don't have my pics on me, but will probably add them later. I have reciepts, i have warranty paperwork, I have lots of proof on my side. I just want to stop this from happening to someone else. read more

Had a system installed by An employee by the name of Gavin initially . My system was not responding nor was it working properly . I called to complained and was told to come back to have another employee try and fix the problem, his name was Daryle I Believe. The second employee had to redo the whole system to find that there was a power pack installed instead of a amp to make the system work properly as well as the wiring wrapped with scotch take and not electrical tape as well as the main big fuse that is right at the battery to stop a surge from causing problems to my electrical system , it was not even tight and the fuse was slowly backing out and causing the system to not even turn on. Alex , the owners son tried to argue and stress the fact they do no refunds just exchanges . I had to threaten legal to make him listen , he then got the proper amp to make the system work only because the second employee told him this was their fault . To this day my system has never functioned properly and I've taken it multiple times , the system caused my factory amp to short which was told to me by Jim Hudson Lexus service department . This is a sum up of how Lawsons has cheated me as well as many others in the CSRA out of money . They have a piece of cut out card board with "NO REFUNDS JUST EXCHANGES" in magic marker posted up behind the counter , not big at all. When customers come in which is very often to complain they then show that sign. I called Alex (the owners son) this morning to let him know and he basically told me to get my Attorny because it's been a year and they aren't fixing anything else and my system does not work at all and makes a pop noise when the car shuts off . I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE LAWSONS!!!!They are not by no means about quality just about throwing systems in your car and giving you a warranty and you will be at the shop constantly and it will remain crap . They steal money and do not back anything up . I have many people who have said they will write statements because they have had the same issue with this company , so I have had to get an attorny . I will do what it takes to make sure this company doesn't steal from people and is recognized for what it is ! Disloyalty , dishonesty , bad service , extremely dangerous installments that could cause your car to catch on fire . BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!
